st albans fox Posted 18 July 2016 Share Posted 18 July 2016 One thing I overlooked is the NG situation and potential mahrez negotiations. maybe Walsh wasn't happy with the way the club have handled NG's contract. He worked hard to get him here in the first place and the fact the club didn't pre empt with a big offer early on in may have annoyed him. Waiting and hoping no one would come in has turned out to be a complete failure. Similarly with riyad. If Walsh sees his players not reaching their peak at the club he brought them to, perhaps that's telling him he should look elsewhere. We have no idea what Jon Rudkin is like, but he has no experience of scouting or unearthing players, nor the contact list that Walsh has. It's a massive gamble to let Walsh leave because they trust Rudkin to carry on doing his job. Everton get bought out by a multi-billionaire. Everton seek one of the best scouts there is who has a recent successful track record of scouring the world for players. Everton throw money at said scout. I very much doubt it just boils down to Walsh just 'wanting a change'. This is the price of success, though. Just don't think anyone saw it kicking in so quickly.
