fuchsntf Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Simply underrated...... But some foxforum fans, just love to put some player or other to ridicule.
Devonfox1884 Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Keep him. We have to keep our identity, and selling off our good academy products sure as hell won't do that.
AS78UK Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Put Mahrez, Albrighton and Gray ahead of him. So not overly stressed by this. Different story if Mahrez left though. Also to soon after Kante
HankMarvin Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Was one of the better players in our first season Offers something different from the bench, still relatively young. 9m is chump change why bother, we have more than enough money to spend
adam Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 I wouldn't be too disappointed if we got shot of Jeff but the money has got to be right. What's the point in a selling him for 9m when his replacement would cost double. Norwich want 15m for Brady FFS.
mozartfox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 he must stay. please close thread as this is all becoming very depressing.
Buggsteam Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 I thought we were trying to strengthen the squad ready for champions league not sell off the title winning team and replace them. 9 mill is a joke and can't see Jeff wanting to go
Richmondfox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 I thought we were trying to strengthen the squad ready for champions league not sell off the title winning team and replace them. 9 mill is a joke and can't see Jeff wanting to go I can't see the club wanting to sell him and if they did not for that price. The story doesn't say he is available just that Pulis has put in an offer. No need to panic just yet.
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 I'm in the minority but I'd snap there hands off, 9 million for a player who can't defend, attacks with only pace, barely cross or pass and will never develop anything resembling a footballing brain. Nailed it. I'd get what you can and get him out of here.
okie fox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 I'm in the minority but I'd snap there hands off, 9 million for a player who can't defend, attacks with only pace, barely cross or pass and will never develop anything resembling a footballing brain. A bit unfair to say the least. Schlupp is a work in progress. He has the ability with his lightning pace to get behind the defence and some of his crosses are actually good, especially the low ones into the danger area. Granted he lacks composure in front of goal, but most other players would not have the pace to get the one on one opportunity in the first place. Also as a left midfielder he does get back a lot and makes some excellent tackles. He had the brains to win the last minute penalty vs West Ham. He is a valuable sub in some situations.
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Nailed it. I'd get what you can and get him out of here. Wow .. If we're being told that Brady and Keane are worth £15-20m yet you'd get rid of Jeff for what ever you can then I despair. He's a guy who knows all about Leicester and is one of the originals in our squad. With all this speculation I'd like to keep everyone now. And how you can't see the impact he has in some games is beyond me! There aren't many options I'd rather have in the premier league to come on at 65-70 mins to run at a full back. He's strong, quick and effective as much as he can be unpredictable.
Clever Fox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Jeff is one of those players who hasn't reached his full potential yet. For 9 mil I'd keep him because he will get better and he also offers valuable cover for several positions.
katieakita Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Why is everybody getting so worried I am NOT ITK but you can look at the fact we are Champions and don't need to sell. Claudio and Walshy do their homework and want a type of player, hard working, versatile, fast, a team player hence we have agents and the press linking us with any player fitting this bill. Anyone following WBA knows the clincher is height is Jeff 6ft 4" then get worried the only other box he ticks is can he put a ball up high in the air now that is a concern as Jeff can hit a very high ball even when he is playing it along the floor.
Countryfox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 NOT SCHLUPP FFFFFFFSSSSSSSS LEAVE US ALONE The balls in our court on this one and is directly linked to the ambition of the owners. IF we want to compete at the very top then we need to show it and make a statement. Get the wages sorted for all our key assets and show everyone the path and dream that we want to follow. Only reacting when someone is approached and saying stay for one more year is imo not good enough. Like I say it's up to the owners but what an opportunity missed and so fvckin annoying as we watch the club stripped ...
TheSomersetFox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 He scored a couple of great goals against Liverpool and Norwich, played a huge part in our great escape, he's only young and he's got some brilliant attributes. So much false shite is chatted about Jeff
whitlock Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Schlupps ex missus tweeted yesterday 'there is no loyalty in football anymore' She's since deleted it. Seems odd.
Leicesterfarian Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Schlupps ex missus tweeted yesterday 'there is no loyalty in football anymore' She's since deleted it. Seems odd. Probably more to do with Kante than Schlupp? Really can't see why he'd leave us unless the club want to offload.
Countryfox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Schlupps ex missus tweeted yesterday 'there is no loyalty in football anymore' She's since deleted it. Seems odd. Probably aimed at Kunte but then decided she should not really get involved.
whitlock Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Probably more to do with Kante than Schlupp? Really can't see why he'd leave us unless the club want to offload. Potentially, although her only tie to the club was Schlupp now they've split, she's not a City fan. Who knows.

The point is he's not good enough to start so if we have progress in mind he should be one who should be offloaded and replaced by someone better.

He might not be good enough to start but it's about having a squad of quality. As I say he's as good as anyone i can think of at coming off the bench with 20 to go and run a full back ragged.
MPH Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Schlupps ex missus tweeted yesterday 'there is no loyalty in football anymore' She's since deleted it. Seems odd. It could also be to do with some city fans happy to sell Schlupp who's actually been with us for a few years now...
CosbehFox Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Schlupps ex missus tweeted yesterday 'there is no loyalty in football anymore' She's since deleted it. Seems odd. About Kante but realised it could be misunderstood as about Jeff
