Wow... if this actually happens it will be a great achievement and will also add some rationale to the decision to let Walsh leave. As valuable as Walsh was to us, realistically age isn't on his side so to have a younger version who has his whole career ahead of him would be a great indication of the owners ambitions moving forwards. This will also send a real message to the rest of the league that we mean business and aren't here simply to make up the numbers. Furthermore it's a big blow to Spurs as I imagine that they perecive themselves ro be a bigger club. Hopefully the rumours have some substance.

Those asking for Powell need to know that he is at Derby as Nigel's assistant.

According to the Telegraph, Rob MacKeinze who worked at LCFC on the scouting/analysis side and joined Spurs is to leave too but joining Nige at Derby

Who's he signed that's actually been a success in the last few years? Not being sarcastic about it but I can only think of Dier & Alli. Who are both amazing players, did he sign any others that I've missed?

To be honest, as with Walsh, we don't know how influential the 'head of recruitment' is. They have lots of scouts working for them and most have misses and well as hits.

Undoubtably the best person for the job, helped Southampton to the Premier League with countless bargains, and made some superb signings for Spurs. 20 years younger than Walsh too, inspired. Maybe Rudkin was involved, if so, we all need to give him some credit where it's due (for a change!).

Rodrigues,Wanyama,Clyne,Yoshida,Pelle,Long,Lovren,Mane and Forster are just a few signings during his time there

It makes you wonder why he's leaving a club like spurs to come here.  I assume they rate him and will have tried to persuade him to stay?

Spurs fans undoubtedly see themselves as a bigger club that us.  He obviously doesn't.
