If this is true, fair play to the owners. Whether he works out is another matter, but once again they look to be doing things correctly. It was a worry that the papers thought Rudkin could over see things without experience in that field. Just as they did when they kept on Walsh and Shakespeare, they make some very well thought out decisions.

I do like this - there's a relatively interesting bespoke market here that's growing in wealth and significance - what's interesting is big teams poach low level tech guys from smaller teams like Arsenal did to us and now seemingly there's a route from Chief Scout to Director Of Football evident from Walsh going to Everton and now seemingly opportunity for slightly smaller but wealthy clubs to offer more to their Chief Scout than they are being paid at supposed bigger clubs.

Did these staff get really valuable really quickly or are they a neglected area of clubs in terms of renumeration and value?

He also got N'jie and Son....

Son isn't bad, is he? Just never got a chance, like Benalouane for us.

I had them in to do my roofing, first class work. A bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. The son's a bit moody, and spends loads of time on his phone playing Pokemon Go, but they got the job done in no time. They also brought their own coffee and chocolate biscuits, which was a relief.

hello gentlemen, its your favourite resident yido back from his ban!  thought you lot might have something to say about this one, so here is the insight from our side of things...

firstly, you have not poached him from spurs, he's served notice, as by all accounts, he's had disagreements with the hirachy at spurs, who apparently haven't been too pleased with him.

rumours coming out that he's been pissing off staff and agents and negotiating not in line with how we normally do business.  all hearsay mind, but his impact on signings incoming hasn't been what was expected allegdly, and some of the players quoted that he brought in were not his.

alli was recommended by pleat, wimmer was by the other chap who left mackenzie, up until which point yesterday, i wasn't aware of him even being with us.

we are not worrying about this at all, and certainly not in the same way that yous lot were having kittens about walsh leaving.

people in these types of roles are ten a penny, he'll be replaced, which is why i didn't understand everyone on your board being up in arms about walsh going.  these players still exist, everyone is after the same players these days anyway.

Yeah, we were fighting off  hoards of teams  to sign Riyad and Kante....

And quite frankly, that mentality might give an insight as to why we had the players to win the league and why you faded away...

I worry about the spurs thing... np (who i did not like ) built a sqad of hard working players with positive outlook so they dont give up.   Spurs players are bottlers.... they will not win now because of self doubt.   If this is all true then i hope he qualifies and any targets in terms of disposition ....

well to be fair, weren't marseille in for kante last year?  who it is fair to say, a bigger club than leicester over history (not better currently).  he wasn't that much of a secret.  they couldn't stump up the cash though from what i've heard?  am i wrong?

mahrez you signed when in the championship - he's had time to adapt has he not?  the best part of nearly 3 years, would that be the case if perhaps you were already a premiership side when signing him, quite possibly not.  circumstance has helped the development of some of these players, you can't argue with that.

coz no-one ever heard of the likes of ahmed musa - come on man, he's no secret is he

Being old enough to have suffered through Pleat's failings as our manager and having listened to his ramblings as a pundit I'd be surprised if anything happened based on his recommendations without some serious input from the recruitment department I.e. Mitchell?
