foxes21 Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Think its unfair to bash Kingy today. We weren't playing to his strengths, he needs to play with a defensive cm behind him (eg: Like the King/Hammond partnership). Partner King with Mendy or Amartey, let King focus on attacking by having that defensive cm behind him. Then sign a box to box to partner Drinkwater. King is still an asset for us, we just need to utilise him correctly and he's at his best when he's attacking/making late runs!
GingerrrFox Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 I get that he's been with us since he was 16 and yeah he's loyal. But he's also shit. He's not good enough to start for us.
Tuna Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Looked the boss against Everton at home...back to the invisible man today.

That's the type of partner King needs, not Drinkwater.
Corky Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 He's not shit, he just isn't Kante. We needed three in the centre today to allow him to roam about a bit more and give Drinkwater a bit more protection too. He's a good sub really.
lgfualol Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 The fact that one of these threads is made after every time he plays isn't good. I like him but off the bench.
AyewJoking Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 i think he played the vagina role very well today.

desertfox2 Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Got to love someone sticking up for King but he is not anywhere near a very good prem footballer. Plus we are Champions and in the champions league and you are mentioning king and hammond... King is a good squad player for a prem side. That's it. I wish he was better but he isn't. It's not slating him it's just being honest. We might as well have kept lloyd dyer, nugent and Liam moore but sentiment doesn't win matches quality does
CockneyFox Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 He flourishes in a team playing well but has little influence when the team is struggling. A good squad player certainly, but will never command a midfield, sadly.
SecretPro Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 He's a good lad and Leicester through and through but lets be honest, unless it's a 20min cameo of the bench he is shite for a team trying to retain the premier league title. Not good enough, simple as that. No that he's a scapegoat because most of the others playing today were wank too. Whole defence was fecking shit shower.

Guest Manini Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Yeah can't defend him today, he was bad. ah well we'll have Mendy back next week, we'll see how good he is in a competitive game.

He's usually in the starting line up when a circumstance forces him to be, I think today Mendy would start, but his selfish wife went into labour!!

ScouseFox Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 no better or worse than the rest of the 11 like. but obviously all his fault.

Kante would have ran to the hospital, delivered the baby, kissed the baby and wife. Ran back to Hull in time for kick off and we would have won the game right that's the last time I'm mentioning Kante. Know I have to move on..... but difficult

Championship winning season - James and Drinkwater bossed the midfield. Season we stayed up - Cambiasso and James bossed the midfield. Premier League winning season - Drinkwater and Kante bossed the midfield. He's a slightly better Conrad Logan. He's happy to be here in and around the squad on £40k+ a week, so what? He's not been instrumental in any of our success over the past years, he's been a side part that's done well rarely and been anonymous often.
