It may not be as simple as that. Perhaps a player (Kante for instance) might insist on a release clause in their contract before signing it.

 

In Kante's case, it's reported he was slow to sign so it's possible that a release clause made him feel more comfortable about us. It's possible he only ever saw us a stepping stone so did not want to be locked in. I could accept that and fair enough too. I can't fault what he did whilst with us.

I think he's just really shy talking to the camera.  You can tell by how he always fidgets and touches his face/stubble when he gives an interview.  There's a nice statement on the OS now.

I'm not sure, he isn't usually that bad and more than half of the video was showing highlights so the club obviously weren't comfortable with it.

have you never seen him interviewed before? he shrugs and he sighs more than he actually speaks. just how he is. i think the sighs are partly him trying to remember the right things to say in a different language too, tbf. nothing in it.

We pay him to play football, not to be a swarve, stuck up tonsil twister.

Plus the English reporters all over tv when interviewing  is of poor quality

i think mahrez has a social anxiety issues. or at least he doesn't feel comfortable around other people. he seems only happy when he is around his friends and family or in a football pitch. literally every time he does a video  playing football he seems quite happy(the f2 video. the copa90 video and the video with that scottish lad ) i will not hold it against him. he just does not feel comfortable around people that are loud and in his face (i.e the spencer video). and what made me sure of that is the fact that he stutters a lot in interviews but in a pitch(football) related video his english seem very good (especially this cope 90 video)
