Mezeker Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 if Drinkwater has a mediocre game we lose 3-1. If he shows up 2-2. We will have to score 2-3 to win this game. With the departure of Kante and Cr's refusal to change the system it seems like Drinky has to have a 8/10 performance for us to win games.

Don't think he will to be honest, will play the same starting 11 on Liverpool as it was last Saturday and if it work then he'll play the same 11 vs Brugges as there's no point risking a tried and trusted set up in our first CL game. Then he will change it a bit vs Burnley I reckon, 4/5 changes to give some lads a rest then I reckon against Chelsea in the cup we will put out a strong side, those rested against Burnley will play and the others will be then rotated imo know that's a bit long and some a bit down the line but that's what I'd do and what I think will happen

We were dogshit over christmas last year when we basically weren't rotating. Maybe they could do these first two games with the same lineup, but I'd probably rotate heavily. Besides, we could do with a little tinkering, to get a feel for the positions that are a little unknown, especially with new players.
psychonaut Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Same team that started against Swansea. I'd have Kapustka on the bench though.
foxy boxing Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 same team, let okazaki run their defense ragged for 50-55 minutes then bring on slimani and musa with albrighton and mahrez supplying the crosses against their tired defenses with musa running at them we should easily find spaces to exploit. just make sure our defense is up to scratch. replace the wingers at somepoint with evan more pace to get at liverpool
IsItMuzzy Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Mahrez could have an absolute field day against Milner or MorenoSent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Countryfox Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Really important to keep Amartey in the team and lets see what he can do whilst his confidence is high .... I always thought he was the natural successor to Kante and now he's got his chance. Up front keep Shinji in (what has he done to not get a regular spot!) ... and gradually feed in the new boys as and when. Got to say I can't fookin wait to see what they can do !! ...
Ric Flair Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Kasper/Zieler Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Mahrez Amartey Drinkwater Albrighton Okazaki Vardy Subs: Musa, Slimani, Gray, Kaputska, Hernandez, King, Zieler/Iversen I think we'll win this 2-1 with Amartey and Slimani with the goals.
tsintskaro Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Henderson is average and Wijnaldum is lost so far in this lineup Drinkwater is progressing in every game and i see him MOTM against liverpool centre will be leicester's Its time for Mahrez to dominate his wing, milner will be there Okazaki will be starter and then comes Slimani Musa will be dangerous substitute for tired defensives win
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Ranieri to put same side out as Swansea. Vards to score in first half, Slim to come on for Okisaki in the 2nd and make it 2-0. Easy

drofmor56 Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Can see Ulloa,Wasilewski,Schlupp,Mendy and Chilwell not even getting on the seven man bench...we have a very strong squad now

I think this is way too skeptical and unrealistic of the players we have. As for Ranieri's "inability to change the system"? Well that's just daft with only three games into the season.

I don't make predictions with my heart buddy, i make realistic ones. Drinkwater has essentially become out most influential player, He has had numerous games last season where he struggled to string passes together and gave the ball away in compromising areas. We can't afford him to play at any other level than that of the last 2 weeks because of how integral he has become in a midfield alongside Amartey; far more than last season.

Obviously no one here has a crystal ball, so your prediction could come true. I, on the other hand, believe that Amartey has played as well as Drinkwater and it doesn't rest solely on his performance. I do wish Mendy were back because I feel he is an impact player. I, like you am worried primarily of our defense, but other than that I believe we have a very good chance of beating them. In fact I find Liverpool's defense much worse and more prone than ours to let goals in. Perhaps that is why I am optimistic.
Koke Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Same team that beat Swansea. I'm not Okazaki's biggest fan but he played well v Swansea. Albrighton over Musa because Albrighton's tactical awareness and defensive duties is needed against Liverpool.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Tough tough game but winnable Slimani on the bench I would of thought? come on second half and make an impact
biggs Posted 2 September 2016 Posted 2 September 2016 Same team for me that started v Swansea with Musa and Slimani featuring in the second half as needed or just to see this firepower attack squad.
