He has given everything to the club for 15 years and he is upset they are standing in his way, he is reminding them in the interview. Seems like an emotional appeal to me. He didn't say the club is fine, he said he was told they wouldn't stand in the way of his development, my guess is that was said when he signed a new deal and he is reminding them. He wants the club to respect his wishes in return for his loyal service. But you can see why Sporting would reject it, given the talent they've lost already.

The banks might not allow them ! They owe over 150m and some of the players sold they had part ownership ! They are selling , he is going , now the horse trading begins !

I just don't think Sporting is ever going to get this much money offered for either of them ever again, and I think this is why Leicester is playing hardball on this.
