Sporting fans must be livid. Imagine if we lost Drinkwater, Mahrez and Vardy a week before deadline day lol

A week these two could be hour's before the deadline. They maybe stalling a little while trying to get replacements in.

Player keen but under contract for 4 years, way to go on this one.

Club going to have to pay big bucks to Sporting

So the player quoted as saying the club will not stand in his way was a load of bollocks then?

Being linked to Silva and Slimani is well exciting! Imagine that 5-6 years ago we were going mental because we were linked to Nicky Maynard. Oh how times change :scarf: However, wouldn't surprise me really if we pulled a Leicester and signed none of them.

They have already signed Slimani's. He turned in his transfer request weeks ago. They knew he was going. I wonder if they were surprised by the play for Silva?

It makes sense to be honest. I'm just confused why the player said the club is fine with it, seems contradictory. Hopefully this is all going smoothly behind closed doors. C'mon Rudders.

It is clear to me he wants to leave because he sees the whole team around him being dismantled. That interview was one of hope in trying to state his intentions but unless we meet that high release clause going on what that sporting fan says they are going to go all west brom on us. :(

No, I'd imagine that quote is not as clear as the translation made out....if the price is right they won't stand in his way, etc

He has given everything to the club for 15 years and he is upset they are standing in his way, he is reminding them in the interview. Seems like an emotional appeal to me. He didn't say the club is fine, he said he was told they wouldn't stand in the way of his development, my guess is that was said when he signed a new deal and he is reminding them.

He wants the club to respect his wishes in return for his loyal service. But you can see why Sporting would reject it, given the talent they've lost already.

I think the won't stand in his way means if they get what they consider a fair price.

The banks might not allow them ! They owe over 150m and some of the players sold they had part ownership !

They are selling , he is going , now the horse trading begins !

Silva was linked to Tottenham just a few weeks ago, with a rumoured price of £13 million. I just don't think Sporting is ever going to get this much money offered for either of them ever again, and I think this is why Leicester is playing hardball on this.

If that's true, we should offer €25m, go quiet and wait for the bank to turn the screw.

But the banks are interested in getting the most amount of money so they'd probably encourage Sporting to play hardball.

However, and as with John Mario and now Slimani, President of Sporting does not facilitate the negotiations: the sweater 23 only leave Alvalade for values close to 45 million euros termination clause. The negotiating intransigence Carvalho Bruno seems to frighten those responsible for Leicester, now will come back again 'the load'. The Slimani file is a priority, but interest in Adrien is a 'dream' that Claudio Ranieri want to turn into reality until the 31st of August.Remember that Adrien Silva has valid contract with Sporting until 2020.

The right age to fit in perfectly with our young players. Anyone from Portugal is usually quality I hope we get this done soon. I don't want to be panicking on Wednesday night.

We are going places as a team and I don't mean Copenhagen, Bruges, Porto.

Shame we haven't got a game coming up could of announced them both before the game. That would of been amazing.

Announce them both before the game tomorrow in Sheffield.
