I think she has just sat on his chopper, if my Portuguese is up to scratch

Not sure i'd advise anyone to take the plane to Portugal with you

I wonder if we will offload Leo and Inler before the window closes. Our squad is quite big now, if we sign these two lads.

Club Bruges, FC Copenhagen, and a historically weak Porto side? Without Slimani and Silva, we had every chance of winning our Champions League group (not counting chickens, just stating a fact: We are the strongest side in Group G. Doesn't mean we will win it, as Hull proved...)

This is not about "going through our Champions League group." This is about winning the game after that.

Good point. Apart from us I would say the 2nd best side is Porto and Slimani and Silva will know them well as will Amartey Copenhagen for that matter.  Getting out of the group would still be a huge achievement but yeah you are right it's the game after.

So according to Sky the player has confirmed he's joining Leicester, I wonder if we'll see another U turn with Ranieri throttling him on the touchline later on this season

Vardy and Marhez arent interested in just getting out of the group other wise they could have become gooners.

Is it the case that the only source of this 'move' is the single (uncorroborated) interview with a Portuguese newspaper?

It was an interview with the newspaper, which as far as I am concerned is adequate corroboration. It is not just an opinion or a guess, it was an interview, which if it were false the player would have said so!

We said that about Cambiasso

True. But then this is a player who has been with them since the age of 12 and is captain of one of the best teams in Portugal.

In all due respect to ourselves, signing someone like Cambiasso a few years ago was unthinkable so we had every reason when he left for most of us to think it

Still don't think that Sporting will release their captain and midfield engine, 2 days before window closes, for half his clause.

Rather have Slimani over him anyway, it will make Riyad happy
