The only reason we did not get him was we moved to late that left them asking stupid money. He wants out and wants to come to us. They know that and now have till jan to sort it. He has a verbal agreement to leave. Had we moved 2 weeks earlier he would be here now.

Might the deal be hijacked by another club, though, given they've been alerted to his wish to move, especially if we've had a poor start to the season compared to our rivals? On the face of it, it looks like a bad miscalculation not to have gone in earlier for him and secured tha deal last month.

If this is true, you would think they need to get it worked out, so the transfer goes through on the first day of the window.

He will be cup tied, so his main value for us, this season, is to provide relief for AFCON  (which is why if Ulloa leaves in January, it will be on the last day of the window).

If the Portuguese play the same game they did in August, it won't happen. Any last minute haggling will kill any deal; there is literally no time for it.

Yes it like any other transfer deal could be hijacked. But rumour has it him and Slim are best buddies and want to play together.

I still wonder how this guy would fit in? Would we play him alongside Danny in a 4 - 4 -2? He seems like more an attacking mid

BS and Monkey shit, no matter how it turns out..

What a way to do business.!!!

Sorry but I cant get carried away,in  whats going to happen in January...

So many other things are going to happen, so many stories will have twists and turns.

If the club reckon its wise to have an investment already set up for January, and then

depending on it, they are either very shrewd or just blind pigeons set free for the great race.

Has a fan, its the various gamedays only that interest me.We have a whole new seasons begin with

all tournaments up for grabs, before January our season could well and truely be over

or in the midst of potentially best season ever.Waiting for one particular single buy seems

to me a blocking of any flexable thoughts and preperations  one should have financially and in football terms.

Nice if we get him nice if we dont, but not going to fall into any hype crazed theories..

Keep the story dormant, until Jan.I am happy to be playing the next 6 months has reigning champions...

He's basically the same kind of midfielder that Danny Drinkwater is.

We need him imo, because if DD were to get injured for a long period of time, in the system we play, we'd be screwed without a replacement.

For someone not getting carried away with it you sure have enough to say about it.

id be surprised if we spunked 30m up the wall on a player to step in if dd were to get injured, he's got to compliment DD rather than replace him imo

Don't get me wrong, I hope this too. But AS isn't a Kante/Amartey/Mendy type. He is more like DD, in fact very similar. He can tackle (as DD can), he can intercept (as DD), but his best quality is distribution and mobility.

You'd have to imagine Claudio is toying with 3 in the middle of that's the case :claudio:

I can see personal terms being agreed and non-financial things sorted before that period, plus it also gives his current team a good amount of time to scout/find someone suitable to replace him.
