AKCJ Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 The only ones who are talking about a standing ovation are the booers. There's a big difference between standing ovation and a little clap when his name is read out.
TheLittleBigMan Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 I won't boo or clap. He used us as a stepping stone which is common place these day's. He's just another opposition player. Move on.
notnow john Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 He helped us win the league and was rightly hero worshipped. But for whatever reason he prefers Chelsea ,why would you want to make him feel good about himself by applauding him? Cant be doing with this hippy peace and love sht.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 Clap. He was such a key figure in our title winning team, one of the main reasons we completed such an achievement last season.
Orange seat Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 Doubt he'll be playing anyway, if he does I'll just treat him like every other Chelsea player on the night. I'd probably clap him at the end of the match if he acknowledged the home fans though.
crazyleicester Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 All the so called massive clubs have sold their better players to some one or other in recent times whether it was Suarez to Barca, Bale and Modric to Real.Di Maria to PSG or even Cech to Arsenal. You cant keep all players happy all of the time and there are loads of reasons why players move on. However, some players come and pick up wages and contribute very little and cost us a small fortune in wages, transfer fees and signing on fees and when they get a game play like turd. In Kante, we have a player who came to us from an overseas country and settled in to our way straight away. He elevated our play along with his team mates and was one of our main players along with Mahrez and Vardy. His performances at times were both surreal and sensational and he did fantastically well for us. OK he has moved on in a deal that has secured his familys future and at the end of the day he is only one game away from a career ending injury. He hasnt left us for Swansea or Stoke but Chelsea, a side that can make him mega rich and can be almost a guaranteed CL challenging side every season. He may well have stayed had we not had we not idiotically put a sell on clause in his contract as the fact that he could be sold helped speed up any decision he had so we should take some blame for that. Nevertheless, he performed admirably for us for a season that may well never be repeated in our lifetimes. With that, we must give him a warm welcome and clap the dude who did such a magnificent job fir us. However, when we kick off its all about singing for the 11 we have on the pitch and to unsettle him like we try to do all away players. Booing and not even clapping the bloke when he comes onto the pitch for his warm-up? IMO thats kids stuff and we should be better than that.
Innovindil Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 Fuch all the do gooders I shall be hissing like the biggest snake in all of Leicester.
4everfox Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 I understand all the people ready to applaud the fella but lets all face it, the bloke is going to get booed whether we like it or not.

Move on. the main idea of a stepping stone is to move forward. he'd already stepped all the way to the other side of the stream and then someone back at the start waved a few quid notes at him and he's half drowned trying to go back. the dick.
foxes21 Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 so sad to see chelsea not utilizing kante properly. playing only as a DM and not letting him get forward to be a box to box player. such a waste of his talents imo

He'll get a standing ovation from me at the start of the game and that's that. Once the game kicks off, he's part of the opposition and will be treated as such for as long as he's on the pitch. And if he gets subbed off, it will be to more applause from me. I thought Mehrez and Silimani won the league for us?

My mate cleaned his house out and his premier league medal and a unopened present from Claudio was left behind

What the **** is that? I'm glad he's gone if that's his idea of good taste.

Chelve84 Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 There was loads of other stuff from sponsorships left behind
SheppyFox Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 Ive always sort of had a siege mentality, he's no more significant than any of the enemy players in the Chelsea team to me, on the pitch at least,I will though find it comical when Conte gets the sack. If ofcourse the new manager coming in to replace him doesn't want a system that fits Kante
Corky Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 I hope he gets some sort of recognition for his work last season. Everyone booing doesn't seem quite right but I can understand it. Hopefully the great ovations will be saved for the likes of Mahrez and Vardy should they leave and return, they decided to remain when they could've departed at the peak performance and deserve acknowledgement for that.
