Kante's reception tomorrow

I'll boo him.

The people clapping him are the sort of men who if their wife or girlfriends left them for a more handsome and richer man they would go and shake the man's hand and tell them "to take good care of her, she's a good un".

I've always said I'll despise the first big player who left for pastures new against the club's will. Just think how good we could be with him still in the side, fuck him.

Gary Lineker? Muzzy Izzet? Neil Lennon? Alan Smith?

Wouldn't boo or cheer.

People talk about him disrespecting us, but when he was here he gave everything every game. He didn't hold us to ransom over the transfer, it wasn't particularly prolonged transfer saga played out in the press. A club came in for him, we accepted the offer and he chose to leave.

So so far no problem, the criminal undervaluation was not his fault, neither was the stupid release clause. Money probably wasn't that big an issue, we would have rewarded him handsomely for staying and could have matched any offer or at least come very close.

For some reason he didn't want to stay, I think he should just be honest and come out with why. Also the fact it was a classless club like Chelsea, that had the most toxic dressing room in the league last season. They are under going a rebuilding project at the moment with no guarantee of short term success. Kante could have gone to any club, I would have understood him going to Arsenal, French manager, lots of French players, or PSG or any of the big European clubs. Nobody is saying that aren't better clubs than Leicester out there, but Chelsea at this moment in time are not one of them. Terry and Costa are 2 of the most unpleasant footballers in the league, Conte is a nutter, Fabregas, Oscar, Hazard are all talented players but will not put a shift in.

It's still early but his performances have dropped off the last couple of games, maybe as he realises his new team mates are all self serving arseholes.

So why Chelsea? Some guff about Conte having ambition doesn't fly, if he doesn't come out with the real reason for leaving fans will see a few thousand more as the only reason.

If he came out and said he now lives in Paris and commutes to London, or his family have moved back to France and he can travel back to see them easier from London. Then people would understand. There are things more important than football and if he moved to Chelsea for those reasons, fair enough. Until he tells us that then the footballing reasons are poor which just leaves money.

Booing the guy will probably provide him with motivation. Honestly think we should pretend he isnt there and is well and truely forgotten.

Why lower ourselves, lets get behind Danny, Slimani and co and show we have moved on

A good point. That may well have a bearing on him wanting to leave. But I bet there were other factors like his wife wanting to be in London, Having lived in Paris.

I don't know if Mendy can deliver but we sure missed a ready replacement in Gueye.

Pretty sure some of our players live in London and travel up to Leicester, it isn't that far. I know some travel down from Manchester. Any demand he made we would have been accommodating which makes you wonder if he just didn't fit in at the club. Which is why I would have understood him going somewhere with France team mates, players he already knows. Maybe something happened behind the scenes, like with Nathan Dyer, or maybe Kante is a disruptive influence to the dressing room and we were happy for him to leave ( unlikely but we didn't seem to make a massive effort to keep him).

Or it could get into his head and help us win the game. I do wonder if he has any idea what passions he has stirred up? He will never have experienced a hostile reception and judging by his quiet personality it could really affect him. He isn't Robbie Savage or Dennis Wise or Diego Costa players that enjoy being hated by opposing fans.

What happened with Nathan Dyer?

Lots of rumours of funny stuff going at Swansea with his wife and one of the directors, that's why he wanted out.

You haven't done that?

You suggested that booing mattock after breaking his leg was acceptable because he had a punch up in a nightclub in town.

So, if it is acceptable to boo mattock because of that, why are you not booing Simpson because of his criminal convictions?

Well done that's a slightly better worded question than claiming I have "said" something I have not.

I will indulge you once on this matter then if you want to continue it you can set up a new thread  if that's what you want and get completely ridiculed as this is about Ngolo Kante not Danny Simpson. As usual you are derailing the thread.

Danny Simpson's assault was heavily condemned on here by myself and others and I personally believe the club let him off very lightly, if he were to be sacked for it tomorrow I'd have little problem with it.

But given the matter is done and dusted and he is still a Leicester City player I've decided to get on with it, as it would be a little ridiculous for me to continue to boo him every game over something that is now done everybody has moved on, utterly ridiculous, your point is ridiculous. Again I imagine now the incident involving Joe Mattock is years old I very much doubt he would get a reception similar to that of around the time he committed his offence, you can't stay bitter forever.

This is ignoring his offence is largely a private matter away from football and has much less relevance to football when compared to Joe Mattock who retaliated to a little bit of stick, he's an idiot for even going out in Leicester so soon he was bound to get one or two idiots giving him grief, not that that condones punching a woman as you have suggested showing yourself up for the person you really are.

Now, get back on topic.

The way in which the guy left was disgraceful. We got a better message from inler who played about 4games!

he showed us no respect, the team that got him recognise, the team that managed to help him into the french national side and nearly win the euros. What did he do in return, hardly a word when he left and deleting all memory of his connection to leicester(not too sure if this is true but alot of FT say so)

Ill boo, because hes a cvnt

The one who really deserves clapping and a big reception is Hazzard. He could have gone through the motions against Spurs but instead put in a Match winning performance.

For that he'll always have a special place with me, apart from the fact he's a very good player.

I find this bit very strange.

Now although him scoring against Spurs was the moment we were technically Champions; we earned that 100%, no other player from any other side is responsible for us winning the League. Every player who kept points of Arsenal and Spurs should be held in the same regard as Hazard, and even then its miles lower than our own players. NG was a part of that too, he deserves some respect at least for last season

Can you name a better one?

There have been more 'fan favourites' than him but can you name a midfielder who has actually been better? He was MOTM in nearly every game he played in a title winning side. He's that good.

Well Mahrez for starters (if you're going to generalise midfielders). As voted for by his fellow PFA professionals.

No doubting Kante was great at what he did (as others have said), but that doesn't make him Leicesters finest midfielder in our history IMO

Come on mate, you said that he's not the best midfielder in the clubs history. You knew I meant central midfielder too.

If you can think of a better one then I'm all ears but I genuinely can't. I honestly think he's that good.

All opinions though.

Some proper melts on here. See some of those people are the same people saying booing is a ridiculous reaction as well ffs.
