Kante's reception tomorrow

Come on mate, you said that he's not the best midfielder in the clubs history. You knew I meant central midfielder too.

If you can think of a better one then I'm all ears but I genuinely can't. I honestly think he's that good.

All opinions though.

Best midfielder? I would rate Lennon and Izzett higher and Cambiasso and Drinkwater as all round midfielders.

What Kante was was the most effective midfielder in performing a role in a formation tailored to his strengths and others.

We all know he can win the ball, his tackles and interceptions stats were phenomenal, but his passing at times was awful, sometimes I swear he would give the ball away just to win it back. His shooting was woeful and positionally he struggled at first until Ranieri tinkered with things and allowed him almost a free role in winning the ball back. He wasn't very creative, but would drive forwards with the ball and give responsibility to someone else.

A very effective player and crucial to winning the league last season, but certainly limited in his abilities.

Nothing. He's even himself out, did an amazing thing by helping us win the league, but then went on to jump ship and hated it here. He doesn't really deserve our attention, as a poster has said above, let's just focus on the lads that matter most.

Not buying it that he left his medal behind

But someone put a photo of a picture of a medal on the internet? What more proof do you need?

Give the guy a break.

He left the Champs for a mid table club LOL!

In all seriousness I will applaud him before the game starts as he WAS integral in our historic season. But the cvnt will get everything coming to him afterwards!!!

I wrote this in August in the Kante, clap or boo thread,

" I agree with all of the above, but lets boo the shit out of him for the pure pantomime. Remember Matt Mills against Reading, any potential advantage we can give to our team, take it. He's gone, **** him. 250k turned out for the victory parade, he got all the love he was getting then, and as part of the team. Individual love? that's more than the rest of the team got, for someone who wanted to jump ship. **** him. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo "

I understand both sides, clapping and booing but cant understand why people think they are a better fan if someone else wants to "boo the shit out of him"

What has melted me is the video from Don Claudio asking us to give him a good reception.

That and the fact that it isn't going so well for Kante, am I dreaming if i think we could possibly get him back, and being nice to him might help with that?

There was a time when I would gladly have had his man babies, The thought that he could possibly come back (albeit deludedly) makes me realise I probably still would and maybe that means I didnt quite hate him as much as I thought I did.

I'm confused

Any annoyance I felt has been lessened by the fact Chelsea don't know how to use the best defensive midfielder in the league. I wish him well! I watched his highlights from last season yesterday. They're still amazing.

He helped us win the league and was rightly hero worshipped.

But for whatever reason he  prefers Chelsea ,why would you want to make him feel good

about himself by applauding him?

Cant be doing with this hippy peace and love sht.

So... your are not going to ...Be sure to wear Some flowers in your hair...

So if I leave my job for a payrise after working my socks off for them for a year, that makes me greedy and disloyal?

I'm the greediest and most disloyal man I know in that case too!

I really can't see him starting but when/if his name is announced he will get an applause from me. I don't really understand his reasons for leaving for Chelsea other than 50k extra, as they have no Champions League and their manager is an unknown in the Premier League. He should have done another season with us and then got his big money move, but I'm not going to boo him for it. He was a huge part of our best ever season and he went out and gave 100% for us every week. Not a club legend, due to the way he left so easily, but definitely a player I have huge respect for and I will show him that tomorrow.

Claudio asked his players for one more season to see what we could achieve regarding the title defence and Champions league campaign, everyone bought into that and committed to the club, but that greedy little judas twat buggered off, it would not have hurt the dick weed to give us another year and his value and desirability would have, if anything increased, Leicester gave him every bit as much as he gave them and I hate the git with a passion Booooooooooo I say !

This one will go on and on and on ...     More pages than I've had pints tonight  (just) ....    Pretty well split down the middle ...     So let's just see what the crowd do tomorrow and that will be that ..

It's only 7.30pm and you're already on your 7th pint? Good skills

Boo or applaud as you will. But some of the language the haters use about him says rather more about yourselves. The emotionally loaded epithets and so on are pretty unpleasant, even if I know why you feel that way.

@Manwell Pablo has quickly become a favourite poster of mine.

muted applause from me, although I won't be there so its academic !

one of the best CM I have seen in a Leicester shirt and a part of our title winning side (**** me we won the league, I have to keep pinching myself)

Amartey playing well and still only 21 is lessening the blow a bit. Would like to see Amartey go in hard on him in a tackle. Not a leg breaker as can't bring myself to hate Kante even though he left for another team in the prem but just knock him up in the air a bit. Like a your gone and I'm the man now kind of tackle
