You're picking and choosing here, which makes your outrage completely ridiculous. I didn't mention any individual decision or accuse the ref of any bias. I picked and chose nothing. ...... Although you just did........

And if you're pointing out two clear mistakes in our favour, it only compounds how totally shit the bloke was. It is quite possible to think someone is shit and get a few decisions go for you. It's not mutually exclusive.
Mike Oxlong Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Somehow managed to make Jon Moss seem like Pierluigi Collina.
crisp packet Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Only cross by us he didn't blow for a foul we scored...

I've seen teams dive, I've seen referees like the whistle, I've seen time wasting and gamesmanship. I never thought I'd see officials make the game a non contact sport. Without doubt that was the most offensive display I've ever seen from the man in the middle. To the extent I genuinely struggled to enjoy a lot of what should have been an incredible occasion. Fans were great, players were great, can't fault any aspect of Leicester City tonight. But given that's one of UEFAs favourite refs, if that's their vision for the future of the game then I'm taking up Rugby League. Having just got home from the match I've discovered you've saved me from writing what might well have been an exact duplicate of your first three paragraphs.
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Sadly to go against everyone and watching on tv only, I thought he reffed it ok. There were plenty of scrappy moments and the odd dive but apart from one Layun dive that he gave a foul for the vast majority of his other decisions were about right.. I was more angry at Porto for moaning at any decision against them and constant play acting !

It would end pretty quickly. In hockey they have a great rule called embellishment, whereby if a skater is fouled but takes an exaggerated tumble, both players receive a penalty. I would love to see something like that introduced to football, would clear up some of tonight's antics straight away.
Buzzell Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Ref nearly ruined the game tbh. Looked like as soon as somebody went down he couldn't wait to stop the match.
lifted*fox Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 The linesman down the kop end was a right ****ing bellend. He did NOTHING all game.

Dammit! Thrac's now going to take up following rugby league.

Fortunately we won but my god did the ref love his whistle! I wonder what Porto fans thought because his incessant blowing up probably cost them momentum too. That ref isn't indicative of European football, he was just a bad ref. When you look at how many yellows were handed out you'd think it was a dirty game but it was anything but! They should be looking partly at their own players for flopping so much! 19 minutes ago, ScouseFox said: and let's not get started about the lack of a f ucking clock on the big screen christ i nearly walked out straight after kick off Just looked up the UEFA rules on that, and it specifically says that you may display a clock in the ground. So no idea why we didn't!

yorkie1999 Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Are you jon moss in disguise made me laugh
Wolfox Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 The aspect of his display that I find most amazing is that he didn't have a single tricky desicion to make... Just lots of simple ones that were mostly 'finicky' and occasionaly bizarre...
iamafox Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 I've seen better refereeing in non-league games.
Number 6 Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 One of the worst, if not the worst, reffing performances I've seen. A complete wildcard who could have dished out a penalty or red at any stage. Worst one was Amartey bearing down on a defender, he's worried, panickicked, becoming trapped...throws himself to the floor...free kick. Guys runs into Hernandez...free kick. No bias to one side just giving fouls for things that were barely even tackles.
Guest MattP Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 It was a total farce at times. 46 fouls in a 90 minute match. You could the ref wanted to be the star of the show in the first ten minutes.
StanSP Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 utterly bemusing performance from the ref. He's got history of being controversial. Baffling what he gave some free-kicks for. Shamefully bought the tricks the Porto players played...
okie fox Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Jon Moss was worse. Finally gave a penalty one end for grappling, then failed somehow to see Ogbonna throttling Huth at the other end.
