Completely disgusted.

The best one was when Vardy was actually fouled but he didn't see it but turned round and saw him on the floor and quickly blew up about 2 minutes after it had happened lol absolute shambles.

Not the same at all, he couldn't tell the difference between a foul and someone just launching themselves to the ground. Of which they did mostly the latter.

My overall point was, we won and if all we can pick out of that match was a bad referee then hey!

Just walked out the ground and the bloke next to me was saying he thought the ref was ok.I won't repeat what I thought of this view,he was truly terrible.

Gave 40 fouls.

Looked like he was really shit for both sides- but worse towards us- but then they were denied a stonewall penalty in added time so it more than evened out. Agree though that he wasn't bent- just shite.

You haven't seen the handball that Clattenburg let Ronaldo get away with tonight yet, have you?

I'm usually the first person to point out when an English ref or a diver does something as bad as them Europeans.

But you really can't for one moment suggest that Clattenburg could ever be worse than that.

A bad decision you can get over. That was something else entirely.

Shame, no Turkish Delight tonight.

It's Southern European style of football clashing with English football. Porto don't face competition like us on a regular basis (in the Liga NOS), are in a transitional period and just very good at making every 1-on-1 look as if their players had just lost a leg. The amount of showboating from the Portuguese guests was both horrific and shameful and no advert for fairplay (not that we had a handful of dodgy decisions not given against us).

The referee was very picky, disrupting play with his overly frequent calls and most of them were either bad or going against us. The only good part is is that he sort of balanced it out towards the end of the game (three yellows on either side).

I thought Porto on Ice were incredibly entertaining, the football was a bit distracting.

Correction, we stopped trying to breath on them for fear of giving away a foul. An absolute abomination of a performance.

That is true. A miracle it ended 11 a side.

To be honest I thought this thread was going to be about not being able to buy a beer in the ground.

I nearly had a rant about the lack of post horn gallop....

The one near the end when Albrighton was running shoulder to shoulder with his opponent and the guy turned into Tom Daley,  the ref gave a foul and Albrighton could only laugh in disbelief, that was like watching a different sport with a different set of rules.

The referee completely ruined the game as a spectacle. Fortunately we won but my god did the ref love his whistle!

I wonder what Porto fans thought because his incessant blowing up probably cost them momentum too.

That ref isn't indicative of European football, he was just a bad ref. When you look at how many yellows were handed out you'd think it was a dirty game but it was anything but!

I've never been so disappointed, outraged and disgusted by football in my life.

I've seen teams dive, I've seen referees like the whistle, I've seen time wasting and gamesmanship.

I never thought I'd see officials make the game a non contact sport. Without doubt that was the most offensive display I've ever seen from the man in the middle. To the extent I genuinely struggled to enjoy a lot of what should have been an incredible occasion.

Fans were great, players were great, can't fault any aspect of Leicester City tonight. But given that's one of UEFAs favourite refs, if that's their vision for the future of the game then I'm taking up Rugby League.

I'm sure you were totally cool with Fuchs' blatant foul in the box that wasn't called or Armartey's wild slide tackle that ended with his studs in a Porto player's face.

You're picking and choosing here, which makes your outrage completely ridiculous.

Small man syndrome?

Wanted to be in control and let nothing flow.

And that's a neutral opinion.

Fuchs what now? And Amartey's "wild slide tackle" won the ball, but accidentally caught a guy in the head cos he was almost on the floor.

Either that or HT without them getting that corner. It went out of play right at 45.

We had scored a goal, that should be at least 30 seconds added on. But no, he just points at his watch.

This is how football is in the Champions League.  They want the best players technically to flourish!  I'm surprised that everyone else seems surprised by the way he reffed it.  he was consistent for both teams. Don't see what the fuss is about.

If you think the Ref was bad wait until we get a dodgy one in an away fixture. At least tonight's was bad for both teams.

Tru dat.

I think you've gone a bit far in saying the game couldn't be enjoyed but no doubt he was a dreadful match official. You're right, it's not just that he made mistakes or was particularly harsh, what he did was to bring a new concept of officiating to the game. He operated on the notion that any contact entitles the player to go down and is therefore a foul.

He loved his yellow card as well. Favourite thing he's ever owned.
