@boots60 @Izzy Muzzett Hold my arms, restrain me and tell me to leave it because it's not worth it...

I'm not talking about careers. Good grief, Cambiasso played for top top clubs including the biggest in the World.

But here, at Leicester, Kante was miles better and easily the best midfielder we've had since Izzet.

Maybe he just said he didn't like cambiasso to sell books. Look how many people are talking about it in here, people will say anything to earn a few more £££.

What would be a bigger talking point, Vardy slagging off a former Argentina & Inter Milan  legend off. Or admitting he didn't like Zoumana Bakayago? Which one would people rather buy & read?

we've gone from Vardy back to Kante............... amazing.

As for the book, if it's any good, enjoy

if it's dross, bin it

you either love him or you think he's a nob. I don't mind as long as he get's it right on the pitch.

It doesn't but some of the responses are laughable. People speak as if Cambiasso is some sort of messiah. He spent a season here and for 70% of that we were bottom of the league. Vardy is more of a hero than Cambiasso and always will be. Kante came in for Cambiasso and was literally three times what Cambiasso was here*

*I am not comparing careers, I am comparing them while at Leicester.

Cambiasso saved our season and our title win is looking like it was thanks to Cambiasso and Ranieri.

@Fox92 it wasn't your opinion I was being a pain about, it was your abuse of the word 'literally'...

Literally is that it?

Can we stop for a slip second and appreciate what Vardy did for us last season?

Moving on, I find the divide in here quite fascinating. Because without the service from our other players and Pearson and Shakespeare (and a few other staff members), Vardy would've never reached the heights that he has done so far. It's a team game, after all. And that's what Leicester City 2015/16 should be remembered for, not (just) individuals.

We all knew that at some point, he'd be issuing his own book, but the way he actually portrays himself (or fellow/former team members) makes me wonder whether success has gotten to his head a little bit.

It's not as if he really needs more income through book sales when he's already on a very, very decent wage.

I think it's bad timing and could potentially backfire on his career. For his own sake, I hope it doesn't.

Agreed, he was outspoken about the club not signing any 'big time Charlies', the evidence suggests he's becoming one himself, and success has gone to his head.

For a bloke 'not bothered about money' he talks about money a hell of a lot

That he acted like he was one of the coaches, that he was repotedly earning 20K per week more than the "salary cap" and that formations were altered to accomodate EC.

EC used to call team meetings, undermined Morgan as skipper etc

Sounds like Cambiasso was trying to hand down a bit of his hard earned knowledge and experience as any professional paid loads of money should. Vardy doesn't strike me as a good listener though! Not a criticism, just an observation.

He's probably one of my favourite players ever on the pitch but just seems like an absolute tosser from everything I've heard about him over the years.

Don't know if this book is worth reading but a lot of recent footballer autobiographies have been dumbed down rubbish. Ferguson's was awful.

This thread essentially confirms to me, (although I didn't really need it confirming) that in the eyes of most City fans, Cambiclasso could literally do no wrong.

Vardy has even stated it in print, it would seem...Cambiasso was not as popular behind the scenes as many believed. Yet it doesn't seem to matter.

Cambiasso has been, on this forum, credited for masterminding the great escape, for making Drinkwater the player he is and for being a 'legend'.

I maintain, he wasn't. He was nearly ever present in a side that looked every bit relegated until the final knockings and that him leaving to be replaced by Kante made such a massive difference that we incredibly went on to win the league!

Cue sarcasm or a ban. I'm used to both.

Vardy had to play/train with Cambiasso day in day out season a whole season. I think he's a better judge of his character than those of us who have never met him.

Vardy doesn't have to like someone to respect their career.

Rooney has had a great career but I think he's a ****.

I wish some people on here gave our players the respect they deserve.

Let's hope for a ban

Inler was bought to replace Cambiasso (but Drinky did instead), not Kante. Kante was brought in to replace James.

How is this not obvious. And why does this matter. Kunte is a snake. Cambiasso is a Leicester legend. Vardy is a Leicester legend, but also a bit of an idiot who shouldn't have been disrespectful toward Cambiasso.

I personally feel Vardy needs to drop this book and film shite and get back to what made him famous. 100k a week and he is giving less than when he was on 10k a week.

He may feel he is safe here but it won't take long for some to turn on him whilst he is doing fvck all. Yes he was a major part in our greatest ever team. But he now earns one of our biggest ever wages. Now he has to prove he is worth it.

Nobody has pulled their weight this season apart from Drinkwater who has so far been our best player by far.

I'd add Gray to that personally. He's not played much but when he has he's been all effort. He's got to replace Albrighton at some point I suspect.

Yeah true actually. I said on another thread that even though Gray was slightly greedy at Hull at least he got the ball down and was a constant threat that day.

I get it that his agent was probably telling him to make hay while the sun shines etc. But surely this whole book and film stuff should have waited until he retired. Everything seems a bit came from non league scored a load of goals to help Leicester win the prem, played for England job done. Like it''s done and finished.

Where did I say anyone else had or had not played well. But Vardy has been so poor and my point was perhaps he should forget the books and films and get on with his job. But I am looking fwd to all the other players books and films do you know when they are all due out.

The best midfielder we've had ever. Izzet is not fit to lace Kantes boots. Don't let 90s nostalgia get the better of you
