Jamie Vardy : From Nowhere - New book

Recommended Posts

Anyone brought this yet? I got the sample on Kindle and decided to buy (mainly due to having an amazon gift voucher).

Not learned a whole lot yet that I didn't already know - he's a massive Owls fan and a bit of a bellend.

The only book I've probably read in the last 10 years is The Unbelievables, but this arrived yesterday and I'm already on page 180.

There's not a huge amount we didn't already know or that hasn't been publicised recently (Skittle vodka, etc.), but I find it interesting to get an insight into the first season here and what it was like in the players camp with Pearson, etc.

What impression does he give of Pearson and his relationships with the players?

Selling this in my local sainsburys in Newhaven. Almost bought it

That's a fascinating story. You should almost write your own autobiography so that we can almost read it.

He loved Pearson (but basically he loved him anyway because he played for Sheffield Wednesday).

He didn't like Cambiasso...

Tbf he owes Pearson a hell of a lot. Not only taking a chance on him at none league but sticking with him and turning his head when Vardy thought about quitting.

That he acted like he was one of the coaches, that he was repotedly earning 20K per week more than the "salary cap" and that formations were altered to accomodate EC.

EC used to call team meetings, undermined Morgan as skipper etc

Vardy says that none of them were bothered when Cambiasso left and if he was so much of an influential player "he'd have won the players player award"
