What a bitter bunch we are. (I had come on to do the "... and back again" line.)

Not sure what we have to be bitter about, jealous, of the lifestyle and money maybe, but pull his finger out, don't write things we can pull him up on, don't create the circus and we wouldn't be moaning would we. Focus.

at least icardi's book has made vardy's book and comments all look pretty nice and sound.

I did not realise how much of a dickhead he is

Started reading and so far not that great.

Interesting that Shearer has told him so stop sulking.

Claudio has just told reporters that it was his fault Vardy was not pressing in the Chelsea match - he told him to stay on Luiz and not press.

Absolutely bizarre that he would tell him to do that, no point in playing Vardy if you are going to tell him not to press

Why the **** did he tell Vardy that lmao may as well have just played someone else if their job was to mark a defender.

Noticed quickly he is in some advert on tv for some company yesterday.

Was sitting on a sofa alongside Oxlade-Chamberlain and someone else, socialising and commenting on something.

Perhaps his agent is trying to make people believe he's decent and nice, away from the pitch.

Alan Shearer telling Vardy to stop sulking and work harder must be a kick in the face for vardy. still at least it wasn't as bad as shearer gave Neil Lennon who it was reported at the time his face gave shearers boot a good kicking

I for one cant wait for the Vardy(s) to crack America.

It's the 'Celebrity' edition of Gogglebox, part of the 'Stand Up to Cancer' comedy charity initiative on Channel 4 at the moment I think.

Daniel Sturridge and Oxlade-Chamberlain were the other two on the sofa I think.

Playing devil's advocate, I imagine it was to try and stop Luiz from playing his long passes through to Costa, in an effort to cut off that supply line. When he says he told him not to press, he may have just meant he wanted Vardy to stick close to Luiz to force him into one of his characteristic mistakes.

Although personally I would have thought Luiz is more likely to make mistakes if he is unmarked and therefore gets the ball more, but there you go.

He's not good enough at the moment, whether that is down to attitude or something else I don't know, but he'll be very lucky to get in the next England squad.

Read more about this season for off the field things than scoring goals. Shearer is 100% correct - i hope JV saw those comments and it fires him up.

Just finished this, all I read are sports autobiographies , ok it's not in the same league as tony Adams, Robbie fowler or Stan collymore, but it was enjoyable and could relate to a lot of it. Passed the time on the beach

I don't think he meant 'mark him', I think he meant isolate him as Ranieri saw him as a weak link. Luiz has the pace perhaps to deal with Vardy but not the defensive nous.  I think Ranieri was right to some extent but our midfield contribution was poor and Vardy therefore unable to exploit the situation.
