Why is Col still waffling about Camiasso?

Face it, you were wrong. You haven't liked him since he joined and your love child Cattermole didn't.

Youre like a bitter 15 year old girl.

They are both football ambassadors, thoughtful and well-spoken (whether through training or not), have strong ties with the clubs they played for in their career and inspire kids. Vardy on the other hand is known for diving, swearing, drinking and his antics down Casinos. Why argue for the sake or arguing? I don't believe you really think Vardy is a better role model than Beckham or Gerrard for kids, your own kids if you have them. If you actually do then you are an idiot (and a misguided parent).

Doesn't change the fact I'd rather Vardy played for us than Beckham in his prime, would have to take prime Gerrard over Vardy to be fair.

So if they were your father, which would you prefer:

a) he used to dive about a it, drink skittles vodka, enjoy a scuffle and called some guy a 'jap'

b) had a steamy sexual encounter with a real tasty piece of ass (that wasn't your mum)

If I had to choose between JV and Beckham for a father I'd go Beckham. Understand what you're saying and maybe as the son I'd see it differently but talking from an outsider's point of view the point is that Vardy is by all accounts like that on a day-to-day basis (ie a cûnt) whereas Beckham made a big error of judgement and I would assume regrets it.

I love this role model nonsense that gets bought up every time a footballer or sportsmen does something unsavoury. Why is it their main responsibility to make sure they don't have a bad influence on youngsters who look up to them? Is it musicians or film stars job to do the same? It's more the antics on the pitch than off it that really count anyway, if you as a parent aren't able to teach a child how to behave and treat others over some urchin like Vardy then we might as well end the world.

If you read back thru this thread you will see that many comments were made about Vardy (some many critical) and Cambiasso FAR earlier than me chipping in my tuppeneth. Yet you choose to ignore those many posts... no surprise there.

Chill yer boots RK. Just because I've been one of the only peeps with the nuts to argue about Cambiasso being 'God', don't mean others don't agree. Including Vardy it would seem. Which is why the subject got brought up.

That being the key point!

How many children are going to read into his off the field antics anyway. Growing up we all idolised footballers for what they did and achieved on the pitch. What Vardy and any other football does off the pitch in this day in age is escalated due to social media and the amount of money they earn.

Vardy is a working class lad who has made multi millions doing what he loves, in a game that used to be for the working class. I applaud him for that. I don't think for one minute he has changed since earning his millions, something which I quietly admire. I'd like to think if I were to earn millions, I would be true to myself as well.

Like people have said, even if he's the biggest tosser outside of football, as long as he's giving it his all, and performing well, that's all that matters to us Lcfc fans

Look Vardy lives a lifestyle that i wouldn't. he says or does things i wouldn't. But you know what, he is not up in court every month, , h'es not been on the news for beating up or cheating on his girlfriend so its not like hes an awful or terrible person.  And quite frankly, i dont give a crap about who did or didnt like who or who was best for Leicester City and who wasnt...they were all mature enough to get it together on the pitch and perform one of the greatest escapes the footballing world has ever seen.

Just pipe down the lot of you and stop looking for things to complain about.

You moaned when we were linked with him, saying he's not good enough.

You moaned when we signed him, saying he's not good enough.

You we're a quiet when he was shredding midfields to bits.

Now you're moaning again.

Its clear you don't like the bloke, he's gone and moved on, surely it's time you did the same.

I questioned when we were being linked with him..he was being binned by a very very average Internazionale.

I questioned him when we were continuing to have a dog-turd season. He was almost ever present in a side that was shipping goals. At one point in the season, our goals average was one of the worst in all four divisions.

I then said he had performed terrifically in the final 7 games of the season, and pointed out they ALL did. Because they did. The great escape was primarily due to getting Huth fit, the formation right and it working for the whole team.

And I've continually questioned the fellas 'legend' status given all the above, his stats (which if you look at them were pretty average for the whole season) and the fact he then chose to retire to Greece.

And I'm again, simply responding to a post made by someone else in relation to Cambiasso. I don't bring him up, I respond to others bringing him up.

And have been banned for doing so.

Regarding 'liking him'? Never met him mate.

Finally...he has been brought up by OTHERS (take note) because Vardy talks about him in his book. You don't like this, then don't read the book.

Is this 9 pages of people judging Vardy's personality?

I really don't see what interest it is of football fans. I could tell you bad things I've heard about another one of our players that might change people's opinions on them but I'm not going to because there is no class in that sort of talk and it has fvck all to do with us supporting our team.

If one of our players turns out to be a child molester or attempted to murder their ex-girlfriend (ahem) I might change my mind.

Christ! I didn't know the season was 21 games long!

Not sure what you mean but pretty sure he contributed massively to the vast majority, if not all of our wins that season.

Well one plus point from Vards lack of form this season is the early retirement of Lee Chappy Chapman.

From nowhere to no care, those would say thinking he's not running as much due to not being bothered chasing balls down.
