Aus Fox Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 Any chance of 0 for the ref today?I feel 1 is ebing kind to him
foxfanazer Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 Simpson 9 Claudio, Drinky, Kasper,Musa, Okazaki 8's King, Vardy, Morgan, Fuchs 7's Mahrez, Huth and Spurs 6's Madley 1 and that was because there was no zero option

filbertstreet Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 refereeing performance 10/10 couldn't have been better
Koke Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 MOTM goes to Simpson. Positional sense and awareness was first class. He senses danger very well. Simpson - 8 The rest of the team were 7s. Solid performance. Tottenham - 6 they looked so one dimensional and predictable.
shen Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 Schmeichel 6 - Rarely troubled, but wasn't close to either attempt on the woodwork. Alright distribution and clearances. Fuchs 8 - Thought he was very solid defensively and was supporting the attack a lot, particularly second half and specifically when Schlupp came on so they could interchange. A couple of alright efforts from distance, which is something I feel we generally lack, so it was refreshing to see someone pop up in those spaces. Huth 6 - Unlucky to give away a pen, but had a tough time dealing with Janssen. Was easily turned in the second half when Janssen shot just wide and where was he for the shot at the near post that flashed across the goal first half? Then Vertonghen's header on the bar.. Otherwise OK, though bombscare when he actually receives the ball. Morgan 7 - Thought he bullied Janssen well, maybe a bit fortunate some of it wasn't punished more. Simpson 7 - Defensively sound and had to deal with a lot!! Rose and Son were constantly asking questions and he generally answered them well. Made good decisions throughout. Musa 6 - Apart from the goal, not much came off for him. Walker had the better of him and as we've seen before, he's not technically that proficient. Seems by far the most timid player in the squad so his defensive contribution will always be limited to shepherding. Fine run and finish for the goal, and definitely adds a goal threat which we lack when Albrighton plays there King 7 - Verging on an 8, I thought he did superbly against physically stronger players and the diving Alli. Eriksen had very little room to maneuver in which meant play went out wide to Walker and Rose which rarely amounted to anything dangerous as we were so narrow and compact. Covering space is King's speciality and he did it very well. Good use of the ball too. Drinkwater 8 - Nothing compares to Kanté last season, but this is as good a central midfielder as there's been in our team for years. Amazing energy levels (hopefully he doesn't burn out!) and great on the ball. You always feel that with Drinkwater close, he'll win the ball, get in the way or give you that out ball to reileve pressure and set us off on the attack. Mahrez 5 - He was weak on the ball and physically and had no chance against the pace of Rose. Sooo many times during the first half he was a step or two behind and his final product was disappointing bar one cross which Okazaki headed over. He did put in a big shift though which was required as Spurs threated to overrun Simpson time after time. Albrighton coming on put us on the front foot almost immediately and he had a far bigger influence. Okazaki 7 - Classic Okazaki but with lots of crisp turns and precise passes. Faded as he usually does halfway through the second half which stops me awarding him an 8. A little more sharpness and he would've buried that header too. Has to start in tough away games. Vardy 7 - Improved performance with the only blemish being his lack of sharpness in the final third. Link up play was good and he provided the assist for Musa, so all in all a positive performance with lots of running, jumping and hard work. Subs: Albrighton 6 - Strengthened us when he came on showing more quality with the ball than Mahrez, surprisingly. Schlupp 6 - Did alright despite also lacking that bit of sharpness and confidence to go past players and putting defences on the back foot. Has a good understanding with Fuchs I feel. Ulloa 5 - Hindered by the same limitations we usually see in him. Missed a fine opportunity at the end to steal all the points which is a shame. No lack of effort and gave Spurs a different problem than Okazaki who was fading fast. Ranieri 8 - Got the setup and team selection about right. The result speaks for itself and big credit for finally fixing our defensive problems on the road. Had Mahrez been more in form, our constant attacks down the right might actually have been more fruitful, but Spurs were simply too strong defensively. Not sure a more balanced attacking approach would've been more effective as Musa didn't look too comfortable against Walker and Vardy wasn't getting many opportunities to run down the middle.
Vacamion Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 To get 1 as a ref, you have to award dodgy pens, send a few off and celebrate the goals scored against the team you are stiffing.

I agree with this apart from i'd swap ratings with the fullbacks.
MattCan Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 Great performance by the whole team. Musa - 9 showing a lot of determination on that goal Rest of players - 8 Great day for the Foxes!
Chico1958 Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 The individual performance are secondary to the Teams result. Shinji always gets a 8 or 9 from me because ................. Shinji Cares. We have just got a result, against a Team loathe or loathe them will be there or there abouts at the end of the season. And may I hasten to add, our first away point of the season. With a bit of passion back in the team.
Clever Fox Posted 29 October 2016 Posted 29 October 2016 I thought Simpson and Drinky were outstanding today. King looking better every game just needs to get more physical and frighten opponents. Kasper played well also but I can't understand why Keepers don't just stand there and face the ball for penalties. If he had he would have saved it today. Vardy although heavily marked still caused them problems and knew where Musa would be for our Goal. It's nice to see CR using the whole squad and still getting results. It augers well for the future.
Dan Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 No one can possibly give Madley anything above a 1. I'm convinced a backhander was involved in that. It was so unbelievably bad that it's a genuine possibility. He's a disgrace and should never ref again.

If you want to be suspicious its that that's the third season in a row he's taken charge of us at Spurs and got a penalty decision shockingly wrong in their favour.
lgfualol Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Drinkwater, Simpson 8 Musa, King, Schmeichel, Morgan, Fuchs, Okazaki 7 Vardy, Mahrez, Huth 6 Subs 6 for Albrighton and Schlupp 5 for Ulloa
Heymister2015 Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Can imagine by next season Musa will have that strength and experience and will be one hell of a player

If he'd had a backhander he would have taken his first opportunity to give the penno when Alli went down from Fuchs' challenge.

Some of the decisions that went their way yesterday were absolutely beyond belief. I just cannot believe there is anyone who is so incompetent as to be that biased in favour of one side. Why people in this country are so naive to laugh off the notion it could go on I have no idea. Just analyse the current culture - it's absolutely rife for it. For me he should 100% be investigated for that performance. He won't be though, I'm sure he'll be refereeing Arsenal or Man City next week. He's as bad as Moss for me. An absolute disgrace to the sport.
Fox92 Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Great day. Everybody can have an 8. Spurs 7, they were good. Madley 1, absolute ****.

Leicesterpool Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Fuchs MOTM thought he was outstanding yesterday, work rate was top notch. 8/10 scored the highest scorer followed by Kasper and Musa. Lowest two I gave to Schlupp 4/10, I'm sorry but he didn't offer anything when came on and his work rate was poor. Also Mahrez didn't have his best of games. Tottenham as mentioned in another post we good first half but very average second half. Ref Madley was dismal. No doubt as usual poor Albrighton will get a low score again.
tsintskaro Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Drinky had 7 tackles,4 interceptions,4 clearances,2 blocked shots
HighPeakFox Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Schlupp did nothing wrong when he came on, in fact he made some lovely little passes and did nothing to suggest he 'has no brain and is just an athlete' (to sum up the FT cliche). I sometimes wonder how much people actually look at the players objectively - I remember Oldfield was victim to this in the 90s, he could have blinder after blinder, and then be the first to blame as soon as a pass went astray, yet players like Walsh (who was appalling until Little showed up) was forgiven all sorts of dross because he was well 'ard.
