zealot Posted 31 October 2016 Posted 31 October 2016 Definitely yes to white shorts. Definitely yes to black with blue sash away kit soon. Additionally, blue shirt, white shorts and black socks for home kit soon maybe?! I think this might work:
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 31 October 2016 Posted 31 October 2016 Probably not for 2 reasons: 1. Our record in blue shorts is much better and the club have cottoned onto this 2. Blue shirts sell double the rate of white shorts
Finnaldo Posted 31 October 2016 Posted 31 October 2016 All blue is supreme. Personally I hope we never go back.

Is that it now? Are we all blue forever? White shorts will return to us one day. However I think white trainers are gone forever.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 31 October 2016 Posted 31 October 2016 I'm prefer white because it seems more Leicester, and am a fan of our Walkers 1998-2000 kit for sentimental reasons, but 2014-2015 is the nicest one we've ever had aesthetically, fitted nicely too! Don't like the all blue but since it seems to brings us success that's got to be the priority! For away kits, would love to see the red binned and stick with white or the black and light blue sash.

Merging Cultures Posted 31 October 2016 Posted 31 October 2016 I like all blue and don't have a problem with gold. I had the early to mid 90s all blue fox leisure kits and the golden yellow fox leisure kit.
China Black Posted 31 October 2016 Posted 31 October 2016 All-Blue makes Leicester look more imposing!!

urban.spaceman Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 What I want to know is, when are we getting another navy and green away kit? It's been 20 bloody years dammit.

Captain... Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 Would like to see is wear the white shorts again, I see it as the more traditional kit for Leicester, but really I just like seeing us play great football in the top flight and Europe. People worrying about gold on our kits need to get over it, it really doesn't matter especially on this bit... It's like the owners new this was coming and and added some extra gold to the kit so it all tied in perfectly.

It amuses me how you cite tradition when stating your preference for white shorts but shrug off the use of gold on our kits, which clearly isn't a traditional Leicester City colour. Inconsistent. I wouldn't be pleased to see gold permanently displace white as our secondary colour. I'm a bit of a traditionalist like that...

I have a preference of White Shorts, mainly because they were my favourite kits growing up so I associate it as being more traditional, but I have never once voiced my displeasure at blue shorts or gold on a kit or a red away kit as a concept. The amount of gold that has been used on Leicester home kits has been minimal, compared to the overreaction by some on here. We have had one gold second kit since the Thais took over (I think) and it wasn't bad, but not great and many white second kits including the last 2 seasons which were both very nice. We have also had white shorts more often than we haven't under the Thai owners, and next time they want to boost kit sales they will revert back to white shorts I'm sure of it. The gold is seemingly a preference of the Thai owners, a subtle splash of gold to suit the whim of the people that have funded what some are calling the greatest era in our history, I can cope with that without irrationally losing my shit over a piece of fabric. If we stopped being Blue then it would be different, but we are Blue with a little bit of gold, not as much white as before and some funky coloured away kits.

No, Captain, recognising that gold isn't our colour is not irrational. I would also disagree with you that it's been used subtley. This season it has indeed been used subtley (and I'm ok with that) but in the previous three it hasn't, the gold has stood out and competed with white as a secondary/tertiary colour.
ScouseFox Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 is this gold kit people are crying about literally that line on the arm? could be ****ing neon green for all i care you can barely even see it. christ.

What is irrational is getting so worked up about it, we are Blue and White (with a little bit of gold). The previous 3 season being: 2013-14 WHITE shorts a bit of gold trim 2014-15 WHITE shorts a bit of gold trim 2015-16 Blue shorts and a bit of gold trim If an alien came down and looked at any of those kits with WHITE shorts they would think our colours were Blue and WHITE, because our kit was a Blue shirt and WHITE shorts. Last season if the aforementioned alien looked at our home kit he would be forgiven for thinking our colours were Blue and Gold, but then the WHITE away shirt and a look at our stadium, Blue with WHITE writing everywhere, WHITE roof, WHITE seats, the King Power logo is Blue on WHITE, or WHITE on Blue with a bit of gold detail, Then he might think again. The only thing I understand people being a little miffed about is that the ribbons on the trophy are Blue and Yelllow, but I really can't get worked up, because whenever I see the blue and yellow ribbons, I see that trophy and everything is ok with the world.
lgfualol Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 I want a full gold kit with red Stripes on the socks
Sionnach gorm Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 I watched an American football match a few years ago and they brought back some retro kits. I thought that was nice. I think it would be a nice idea to do that so that we might commemorate all our faithfully departed fans (who never had our pleasure of enjoying a Champions of England trophy) well.
