Kasper broken his hand

That's potentially a lot if games he will miss. Who's going to be backup to Zieler? is it that other young Danish lad?

I wouldn't be surprised if we went for an emergency loan for some better quality on the bench.

I guess Hamer will be on the bench like he has on other occasions this season.

I didn't think you could do that now?

Or have the rules just been tightened up, so clubs can't abuse it so much?

Devastated to read of this injury. I had already posted in WBA pre match thread that I wouldn't mind if Kasper was rested and Zieler came in, if there's a good time for something like this, then I suppose the fixture list would say NOW!

I wish Kasper a very speedy recovery

I think it's been established we have Hamer as back up to Zeiler but;

Clubs are permitted to sign a goalkeeper on a seven-day ‘emergency loan’ basis if they do not have a senior goalkeeper that has made five first-team apps

If my washing machine breaks, I shouldn’t have to wait until the end of the year to fix it. It’s madness. What happens if I haven’t got enough money to have two washing machines? Newcastle will have two or three, so they’ll be more efficient and I’ll be walking around in dirty clothes looking like a tramp.

Don't know if it has been already mentioned but it wasn't a broken hand, it was fractured.

obviously still serious and obviously still an absolute legend for playing on AND making a brilliant save to keep it level.

But if it was a break I can't imagine he could of played on and he would certainly be out for more than a month, speaking as someone who has many hand injuries, 3 breaks 2 fractures and 2 dislocated fingers.

if he had suffered a break he wouldn't of been able to move his hand never mind use it to push his self up off the floor after making that save.

still a legend

INT. ROCHDALE HOTEL ROOM - NIGHT

Almost total darkness. The only light is coming from out of the window - the floodlit stadium of Rochdale FC. Sitting alone in the middle of the room is a MAN - a little overweight, his bleached blonde hair the only thing that stands out in the darkness. As a car passes outside, we catch a glimpse of a dartboard hanging on the door. Another car passes, illuminating it again - three darts litter the board; all of them have completely missed their targets. Pinned to the middle, unblemished by darts, is a picture of KASPER SCHMEICHEL.

The MAN takes a drink of extremely strong lucozade - flinching at the taste. And then the hotel's PHONE rings. He picks it up - he doesn't talk, just listens.

JON RUDKIN (O/S)

                                                                                     Conrad? You there?

The MAN - CONRAD LOGAN - puts the phone on the table, upside down; listening.

JON RUDKIN (O/S)

                                                                                                      (muffled)

                                                                                     Hello? Conrad?

Another car passes - the light finally illuminates his face - which breaks into a menacing smile which turns, worryingly, into an evil laugh:

CONRAD LOGAN

                                                                                     MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This is a disaster as Zieler looks very second rate (I'm not sure he has actually saved a shot yet) - I'm downgrading my optimism for lots of points from the next four or five games - sad news.

How can we do worse than lose?

 Nicely absurd over reaction .

I did this once, sounds like a boxer's injury. I punched someone's head as he came in for a header, maybe this is what happened .

We shall see - he looks like a calamity keeper to me
