Filbert_Ross Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Did it in the first half. Breaking news on sky sports. Out for at least a month.
Domsdad Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Out for at least a month, broke it in first half punching the ball.
lgfualol Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 ****ing hell that is awful. At least we have Zieler and not Schwarzer as backup.
blueharmie Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Very bad news. Going to be tough now that's for sure. Not impressed by Zeiler at all.
Russell sprout Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 And can still put in the performance he did, shows what a professional he is
foxy boxing Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 really terrible news and wish him well for a speedy recovery, it will also be painful for us to be without our number one for that long
filbertstreet Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 he did that save at the end of the copenhagen game with a broken hand? legend
AKCJ Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Our player of the season so far, gutted for him but if he was going to pick a time to be injured now is probably it. West Brom, Watford, Brugge and Middlesbrough with an international break. If we struggle during his lay off then we can't blame the injury.
foxes21 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 so he'll miss the west brom, watford, brugge, boro & sunderland games yeah zieler should be fine.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Very bad news, a real blow as he's been in great form recently making some vital saves.
kingcarr21 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Zieler is a quality keeper. He has a great chance to stake a claim for the number 1 spot against 'weaker' opposition. Shame for Kasper cause he has been brilliant but im not overly worried.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Not good news but as others have pointed out - it's not bad timing at all, and Zieler looks like fine backup. If it was Schwarzer I'd be worried Hope he recovers soon, been outstanding this season
Crinklyfox Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 The manner of the injury concerns me - he apparently did it punching a ball. The best case scenario is that the punch wasn't right and that the impact broke a bone. The worst case scenario is that there is a weakness, however caused, and this could recur. I hope not because we need Kasper.
Ric Flair Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 He get's his fair share of injuries for a keeper doesn't he? Annoying as he's been class recently but Zieler now has a chance to establish himself here, it'll help if our back four do their jobs properly which they look to have improved upon since his last appearance.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 we seem to be unlucky with injuries this season unlike last season. get well soon Kasper .
filbertway Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Ah man, what a hero for playing on. At least we have a decent back up now though. As far as key players getting injured, this is far less concerning than Drinky or Fuchs missing a month injured.
Ted Maul Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 At least it happened now, rather than back in March. That really would have been a disaster!
Jimothy Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Savage put the curse on him last night by saying he rarely gets injured.
purpleronnie Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Another reason why goalkeepers should go back to catching the ball.

ealingfox Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Thank god we are not relying on the likes of Schwarzer and Logan for back-up anymore. Good chance for Zieler to impress and I have faith in him. Kasper has been good recently to be fair to him so its still a blow.
Oxfordfox83 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Get well soon. As good as it could be timing wise, but sad news for a man in such fine form...
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 Personally, I'm glad we've got a keeper like Zieler to come in who is excellent cover. Apart from the goals conceded in his stint of playing (which weren't his fault), I've been impressed with him. He made one particular save v Chelsea (H) in the Cup which was outstanding.
