Why couldn't this be the FA Cup draw? Which no doubt we end up with Southampton.

I was thinking that... Sheffield United, Grimsby, Walsall, Cheltenham... Had great aways at the places.

For once, please, give us a good FA Cup draw. Years spent praying for a big club only to be drawn with Southampton, we now fancy the less glamorous ties and keep getting f**king Spurs.

Any of those you mentioned would be great. Notts County, Port Vale, Cambridge, Chesterfield- basically someone relatively close who we haven't played for years with a decent size away end.

So annoying that when we spent 10 years in the football league we ended with draws against the likes of Palace and Cardiff. (I'm sure we played Cardiff four times in one season). Year after year praying for a big team... Now we're top flight we end up getting other top flight teams.

I hope for Notts County every year but it never happens. Chesterfield would be great. I've got a thing about wanting to finally visit Valley Parade lol

We did actually get Notts County didn't we, just our luck that it was the 4th round where it was Notts County v Leicester or Man City.

That was a good tie.

More than that I think. Twice in the league, twice in the play offs and then once in the FA Cup as well. Fairly sure we also got them in the league cup the following year and lost on penalties (again).

Does feel like an ice age since we had a cup run, seems as though the better we've become the worse we've been in domestic cup competitions, with the odd exception.

How do Coventry end up in the southern section, but Cheltenham are in the northern one?

Utter farce of a competition. Fair few of the clubs involved posted record low attendances this week too...

You watch, the year we actually get drawn against one of these clubs it will be at home.

This will still be going next year, the bloke who devised it or is running it sounds utterly deluded  and no doubt we'll hear some statistics on how, actually, it's been a success.

All the people moaning about not getting away tickets, well here's your perfect opportunity.

Yeah but you don't get any points lol

Bit gutted really. Although I get 5 days in Porto that week. I could have had free digs in Cheltenham and there's a race meet that weekend. Cheltenham away in l1 was a great day out would have gone back just for a laugh.

Ah well. Passport it is.
