AmarteyAndChill Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Decent sub or in a 3. Not quite good enough to be a starting CM just yet.
Izzy Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 I think if Mr Drinkwater wasn't suspended and Mr Mendy was fit then Mr Amartey wouldn't be playing.
Wolfox Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 He has the right attributes to become top notch a lot of it with him is a mixture of maturity and confidence... if he's a fast leaner and starts to believe that he's extremely capable, he could anchor our midfield for seasons to come i love it when he's more progressive on the ball... he's great driving forward

Would say that he also needs to be a bit more confident and get stuck in.
AKCJ Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Too young. Got plenty of ability but doesn't have the brains to use it I'm sure he'll be playing regular top-flight football in a couple of years, but right now it's tough for him. I think people forget that he's 21.

Guest Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Just needs to work on foot speed and learn to drive forward when he's got the ball instead of always playing safe and he could grow into a low rent version of yaya toure.

FraserSorensen Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Thought he was one of our better players on Saturday. He won more arial balls than any other player (though not too difficult) and found himself in some good positions. Like others have picked up on, needs to drive forwards (like we know he can) and take more risks. Part of adapting is being a second or two ahead of the game and always knowing your next pass before the ball arrives and this is where I feel he needs the most improvement. He will be a fine player for Leicester but needs time to develop.
Bunyip Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Shouldn't be anywhere near our team but needs must . Soon as the midfield is hopefully fixed in January I doubt you will ever see him kick a ball for us again. Championship player at best.
Woof Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 When he started driving forward more in the second half on Saturday I thought he provided some of the few bits of brightness in an otherwise poor display from City. Sure, he still has some way to go and much to learn but the potential looks to be there.
desertfox2 Posted 30 November 2016 Posted 30 November 2016 I'd still like to see him in at CB. As a CM jury is still out too although to be fair he's done pretty well for a 21 year old chucked in at the deep end
Ted Maul Posted 30 November 2016 Posted 30 November 2016 Like a few of our players, I think he would look much better if he was in a team pushing forward rather than being pinned back. Doesn't have much defensive awareness yet.

Ranieri likes players that can fit in a couple of positions, and hopefully we switch formations to help midfield out. King is the more likely CM to be fighting for a bench spot.
