Koke Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 It's annoying because he was known to tinker a lot but now that we need him to tinker he is not doing that. I don't want him sacked but I'm afraid he will be if he doesn't fix up soon.

Ambitious (I think) owners, a decent sized ground, a base of decent players. I still think we're a decent option for a lot of managers.

We wasn`t looking like winning games under Pearson either! 13 games we went without a win, 2 points from 33, and as i have said elsewhere, we barely registered a shot in some of those games. We were abysmal at the time!

Larry_LCFC Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 He will always have legendary status but his pass is about up. We can't keep living in the past. We wouldn't have got out of a decent CL group and we are in a dire situation in the PL. His complete inability to change things up is unforgiveable. That's what annoys me the most. He is coming across as a stubborn old fool.
stretch1965 Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 He needs to do something soon, I can't take much more shit from the baggies fans I work with. One stuck £20 on us to go down after they beat us and the way we are playing that may well come in.
Jimothy Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Ranieri bought himself a lot of time after what he did last season, so he'll get the benefit of doubt longer than others might. But the longer these results and abject performances continue, the more he eats into that time he bought himself. Something has to change, and if Ranieri can't change the players (the attitude and performance not the actual squad) then he'll have to be the thing that's changed. I think a change of formation, probably to 343 or 352, or even 451 might help. Or dropping some of the seemingly unstoppable big name player. I can't see either happening though, so I fear for Ranieri.
filbertway Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 50/1 for him to go on Paddy. Our owners seem to work pretty quickly when they sense danger, might have a cheeky pound or two. @Col city fan this is guy I'm on about. Understand the desire to have someone with a reputation of surviving in this league, but I'm not sure about his ability to push a club on. He did consistently well at Bolton to be fair but that seems years ago now. http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/2016/10/24/julian-nagelsmann-hoffenheim-manager-bundesliga

I'd accept the results if the effort was there but it isn't. Vardy have been a disgrace and is nicking a living right now. Huth, Morgan and Simpson are shocking footballers but decent defenders - now they also defend shockingly. King is simply not good enough but people get triggered when you point out that King is abysmal. Amartey looks like a lost child out there. Schmeichel and DD have been outstanding. The only other 2 players who have been decent but dragged down to this level of shitness by other players is Mahrez and Fuchs.

You're probably right, maybe I was exaggerating But at the same time, we're the champions and we've spent £70m- the fact we're even close to the level we were in that season is ridiculous.
Callabinho Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 I wish people would stop dragging up the past...But Pearson this but last season that.....Football works on the here and now and currently we are the worst team in the league.....for the best part of today's game we were battered by the league's basement boys, the side written off before the season started, the league's whipping boys....it was embarrassing, nothing short of ****ing embarrassing. we're static at the best of times and he goes and constantly leaves Okazaki out? The guy may not be Messi but **** me he offers us a more dynamic approach than the Vardy Slimani combination.....the signings we have made have been ****ing appalling, £15m or whatever it was on Musa and he looks ****ing useless.....they train every week, so who's to blame? You can't sift out 20 odd players, but at the moment Claudio is nothing short of a blithering idiot "we tried out best" **** off, tried our best? If that's our best then Jesus ****ing wept we're up a creek. I care more about my football club in the here and now I don't go week in week out to sit there spaffing one out over last years heroics. I wanted to see us flourish, step up and really prove the pundits wrong, kick on and really take it to the big boys. Instead we've pulled our pants down and have bent over for everyone and it's getting worryingly annoying. Make no mistake about it we're in dire straits, something has got to change otherwise we will creating the wrong type of history.
ozvaldo Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 People saying "he got us through the CL group so needs to stay". Absolute bollocks. The CL is a new challenge against 'the best' - which brings out the best in our players. Ranieri needs to know how to manage the mantality of a group who won the Prem, in the Prem. But he can't. We're predictable and getting battered each week. It's a ****ing joke.

The thing is, probably with the exception of Kaputska, which i have to be honest and say i haven`t got a clue whats happening in regards to him, the players we have recruited in the summer, were scouted by and recommended by the much lauded Steve Walsh and his team. Yet all of a sudden because those players recruited are not looking too good at the moment, it`s actually Ranieri who is being slated for poor recruitment.

Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 If we get to the point where losing a game or two means we are staring at relegation in the new year he should go. I know the owners stuck with Pearson through worse but the stakes are so much higher than two years ago now.
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 I swerved the game and took the kids swimming instead. I feared the worse and sadly it was rather predictable. I love Claudio, but as inspired as he appeared last year he has looked as inept this season. We're keep getting over run in a 442 away and now at home. Yet he persists with blind faith. That's either very stubborn or very stupid. Both traits will see us relegated.
weller54 Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 If we're in the bottom 3 at Christmas he'll be gone! The owners will make sure of that! I honestly think he's lost / losing the dressing room!

I haven't, and won't, slag Ranieri off for the recruitment. He may be involved, but there's plenty more to it than that. He's not getting the best out of what he has to work with at the moment though, and he needs to rectify it.

It was his choice to have 6 wingers and F##k all cover or quality in midfield and defence.
Buzzell Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Make the changes. Drop Gray in, drop Hernandez in, drop Kaputska in, I don't care. Just atleast try and change things around because atm the team is playing dreadful. Ohh and get rid of the King/Amartey midfield partnership. We all know it wouldn't work when Drinkwater got the ban. Even if it means messing around with the formation. DOOOOOO SOOOMMMEETHHHIIINNGG!!
Buce Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Ask yourselves this: If we hadn't won the league last season, would we still be supporting the manager? Or would we be calling for his head?
Koke Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 If RDM can get sacked 5 months after winning Chelsea their first ever CL then don't rule anything out. The average lifespan of a Premier League manager is less than 2 years.
