How much longer does Claudio get a pass?

I honestly think the owners will sack Ranieri if we are still dog shit in February and we are out of the champions league.

I wouldnt want him to be fired though.

Looking at Everton now, probably not.

It all stems back to August where we failed to sign another defender & midfielder, unsurprisingly it's come back to bite us.

Ranieri is partly to blame and so are the players. Ranieri is meant to be the tinkerman, yet when you want him to tinker he doesn't. We have been crying out for a formation change especially away from home, ever since we got hammered by Man Utd then Chelsea. One point from our games against WBA, Watford, Boro & Sunderland is a fvcking disgrace, yet he continues to play the same formation and the only guy he dropped today was Shinji - The only player who has looked like scoring from open play, absolute terrible management. We were on the brink of relegation under Pearson, yet he had the balls to change formation and we ended up surviving. Chelsea under Conte this season, bang average start, found his balls and decided to change formation, now they are top of the league.

As for the players you can tell which one's are making an effort and which aren't. Vardy & Mahrez have been a disgrace for months, are they undroppable or something? Huth has lost it, Albrighton has lost it, King has lost it. Yet this is what we get when we fail to buy the right players in August, who else do we have? Hernandez, Wasilewski, an unfit Nampalys Mendy and an unfit Matty James, not good enough.

If this shit continues when Schmeichel & Drinkwater return, then I'm afraid Ranieri might need to be replaced. Last season was a dream but we have to look forward, Ranieri isn't unsackable.

I thought you said we'd be fine with Amartey?

Still makes me smile how people believe the slump in form is down to contract improvements and wage increases.

So let's assume players leave because of better offers, what's the response then?

Are we to engage a Communistic approach from now on?

From now on every player earns minimum wage to improve the league position?

Comrades, please.

You can disagree, I believe the hunger for a few players have gone, cus they are full up.

No I didn't, you just criticised him too much.

I think the contract excuse is a bit of a red herring. Spurs have extended all their key players contracts and given them pay rises and they are doing well.

Ranieri appears to be under no pressure, repeating things will be sorted.

A better contrast to Pearson when he came under scrutiny and made things worse with his antics.

Ranieri has reacted well given the poor situation and that will help in the team believing that hopefully things will improve.

I'd get Pearson back as he knows the players best and knows how to complete a great escape. He won us the league with his squad. I'd also sign cambiasso in January as well.

Ask yourselves this: If we hadn't won the league last season, would we still be supporting the manager? Or would we be calling for his head?

As 'if's go, that's a pretty massive if.

I hate using the sack word on Ranieri after his achievements with our club but currently he has to shoulder alot of blame for current form. His lack of rotation or formation change is bewildering

Abysmal squad ? You mean the same squad barring Kante that won us the league ?  If it's an abysmal squad then look no further than his recruitment and his tactical and motivation skills .  Ranieri must and will be replaced .

NOW CLOSE THREAD.

Abysmal squad minus Kante but plus £70m.

How have we become so bad so quickly?

If anyone thinks the owners are going to lose the cash cow that is Leicester City in its current form because of some sort of loyalty to Claudio then they are mistaken. This club successful is worth mega bucks. Claudio is on borrowed time simply because the owners are ambitious and want to continue to grow this club, relegation is not an option to them. He will be gone soon if things don't change.

Nobody and I mean NOBODY is bigger than the club but it will be one hell of a sad day if Ranieri is ever sacked

The only thing that would make that day better is if Pearson was appointed on the same day.

if there was a quality manager able to join us straight away i'd bin claudio tomorrow morning. hell, he may as well go anyway and we'll carry on without him.

a poor start to the season but we arent even heading in the right direction, we're getting worse.

last season is long gone, we owe cr and the players no loyalty but the owners have already dished out the pay riseslol

good thing theres plenty of alcohol in the house cos im :@

ps. bought vardys book today but forgot to get toilet paper................................

My favourite bit was where he said he  never give less than 110%.

Swearing at the tv is one thing but a book?

Ranieri is 50/1 to be next manager to leave, pretty high odds I would say. I don't think the owners woild sack him until we exit the CL.

the most disappointing this about this is that last season our team (with Kante) would have been great in the CL but we all know we'all be knocked out next round if we carry on like this

Are the owners really that ambitious? Come on, we are no-one near the level of the top clubs, even Spurs.

In in terms of finances we are a similar level to Everton, Southampton, Palace.

The worst thing is we have kind of gone half way by giving players 100k contracts but then signing new players on 30k contracts. If the owners were that ambitious they would have done a Man City / Chelsea and signed big players on 100k contracts, not that I'm complaining, but there is nothing our owners have done in terms of ambition that is any different than teams like Everton or Palace.

We just got very lucky last year, our whole team cost £27m, everything clicked. If it was down to the owners spending power and ambitions we wouldn't have started the season as 5000/1 outsiders

Of course he's under no pressure, he's minted, just won the best league in the world and possibly achieved his management pinnacle, when even he thought it was never going to happen.

You ou can understand why Claudio is also likely to be less motivated than last season

Just watched the highlights on MOTD.

I was right I think. Amartey is probably the worst midfielder we've had for years. I feel for him. So out of his depth.

The same owners who confirmed last season that even if we had gone down Ranieri would have still been our manager.  We won the premier league last season but we are not a mega rich club.  We can't compete with Utd, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs in terms of finances we never will be able too.

Claudio is not on borrowed time.  Qualifying for the last sixteen of the Champions league has seen to that.

The love for Pearson - it's like when you dated a girl, and she was pretty but unpredictable. Blew hot and cold. And you needed something consistent.

Claudio - when you date an unassuming girl, but she's just what you were looking for and blows your socks off for a while - and you think you're hot sh*t for a minute.

Is it her fault that your head got too big?
