The money is nothing to do with us, sky hand out their hundreds of millions, but what does that mean to us as fans, we don't get any, it all goes on paying even more to a bunch of premadonas. We pit our wits against the best sides etc etc, well we don't, we pit our wits against sides with more money than sense, Barca and Real are the best sides. I personally don't give a shit about Liverpool or Man Utd or spurs, Chelsea maybe for cheating us out of game once but that's about it. Vardy etc on 100k + p/w? Owners getting fed up and leaving? Administration? Points deductions? Not to mention the extreme humiliation. But yes cheaper Beer and visits to Scunthorpe, Burton and Brentford. That's great.
themightyfin Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 He gets FOREVER. Always in my heart for what he has done for us and i will die a happy man never thought I would see the day we were champions. He is my world CR I love you!!! Thank-you for coming from Italy to manage the City.
Ted Maul Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 I'd like to say as long as he needs, but we're worse than we were in 2014/15 at the moment. This was supposed to be our easy run where we picked it up a bit, but the performances and results keep getting worse. For me, he needs to show that he's got some sort of idea on how to put it right. We're not playing to our strengths, and we just don't look like scoring, never mind winning. We need change- if Claudio can't implement it, maybe the owners need to? He's not on his last legs yet, but he needs to put it right soon.

Id take Stoke right now, 2 good goals today, for all the excitement last year, it would make relegation or a relegation struggle even harder to watch

It's obvious King and Amartey can't play in a 2 man Midfield, yet we continually play the same way. Truly baffling. Seen enough of King over the years, great servent and all that crap but thats probably because nobody has ever enquired about him! One on one with the keeper and he'd still probably look behind him for a safe short pass

The team was brilliant, led by the man. His in-game management last season was superb. This season we look clueless when we go behind. Last year's early form was us basically going behind then turning it around spectacularly. Why doesn't that happen now?
reynard Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Normally I would say he would have the next 5 league games. That would take us to the half way point. Anything less than 7 points and he should go. However, things are so bad right now personally I think their should be serious consideration firing him before then. We've spent 69 million and we are seriously crap. At the very least we should be able to compete with the teams in the bottom half of the table but the truth is at the moment we would have a job to compete with Accrington Stanley. He's managed to turn the champions of last season into a useless bunch of long ball merchants with no fight in the team at all. We are on a downward spiral and frankly he doesn't appear to have a clue. We don't even try to be hard to beat. . It is hard to explain how a side that played so well can just a few months later play so utterly badly. Why the hell do we always start so slowly? Even under Pearson we were not anywhere near this bad. Though we kept losing we were at least pretty much always competitive. No motivation, no tactics, a summer of opportunity chucked down the toilet. At this moment not only Ranieri but also the DOF should be considering their positions. The club is an utter shambles and a shameful embarrassment at the moment.

Last year is not a pass for the absolute shit we are playing this season. It's shocking and unacceptable
Buzzell Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Three or four more bad results could possibly end his fairytale reign at the club. It's the way football works unfortunately. Would love him to turn this around though and get us out of shit street.
cityfanlee23 Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Just out of interest looked at available managers. LVG, Biesla, Big Sam, De Boer, Roberto Mancini, Laurent Blanc.

I'd accept the results if the effort was there but it isn't. Did you watch the Chelsea game? Kante was all over the place pressing, moving the ball forward quick etc, etc. I think his energy rubbed off on a lot of players last year. Away from home, Ranieri plays Slimani, a lazy striker instead of Okazaki. All the players stand off the opposition apart from Vardy and Albrighton, but lately they haven't bothered either- if so why not? Must Be a 'coaching' decision otherwise they should be dropped. The performbaces arent good enough and until Ranieri changes things, or gives them a good rollicking, nothing will change, the coaching staff set us up, if the did and the players didn't listen I'm sure we'd know about it with players being dropped etc but they aren't so it's obviously a coaching decision, possibly as that's the way to play in Europe!?

Under Pearson that season,we went 13 games without a win before christmas, where we accumulated 2 points from 33. Were you saying we should get rid of Pearson, because of the utter dross we were churning out under him at that time? It`s amazing how many Pearson lovers have come out of the woodwork all of a sudden!

We just need to accept we are Leicester and last year was a miracle. We need to re-build after this year and I think giving everyone a new contract was a massive mistake. we will have to have a fire sale if we go down, but who will be willing to pay Vardy, Kasper, Slimani wages etc? I'd like a manager who always expects the best from the players, not nige now but someone similar, I'd go for Sean Dyche

Guest Col city fan Posted 3 December 2016 Posted 3 December 2016 Probably gonna get shot down in flames for this, but we are LCFC, not 'team Ranieri' He looks out of ideas. He's playing the same way, and generally losing, week in week out. I'm going to go against emotion and try to look at this logically: 1. We have a dog shit midfield 2. We leak goals like a seive 3. We've just lost again, this time to the bottom side 4. We have a strike force that look devoid of confidence 5. We have got one point away from home, all season. 6. We aren't giving the young uns any chance. Kaputska, Gray, Chilwell If we are near bottom at Christmas, I'd be looking to get Allardyce in. We do not want to get relegated. If we keep playing like this, we will be.

Can't argue with those facts but I would say that I always felt we were close to getting something out of those games. Now I really don't feel we could beat anyone at the moment. This team is not a team at the moment.
