Mike Oxlong Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Recruitment has been absolute doggo recently. Not surprised Walshy was so keen to fack off to Everton. A bit like taking a shit on the lounge carpet and getting out of the house to avoid the blame.
Franks boys Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Having watched my beloved team play away at Watford and Sunderland i am scared. The King Power is our only chance of staying up.

It took Pearson two thirds of a season to realise you need three in midfield if your defenders aren't comfortable on the ball. How long is it going to take Ranieri? It's about the pressing, and forcing mistakes, with Kante we could do that with 2 in midfield, but as it stands, away from home there is no pressing, there's ample time and space for crosses to go in and attackers to play through us!! This is tactics, to sit back and absorb, rather then sit back, press, force the mistake and counter!!
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 It'll be interesting to hear what CR says. We're proper shit, hoofing from the back, Hernadez is crap. Mahrez ineffectual, Albrighton works hard but just aimless long balls all the time. We missed DD and have no strength in midfield to dominate without him. Vardy playing behind Slimani when Oki has been our best option in there. Our recruitment in the summer was so, so poor and we are really struggling. If we recruit as badly in January then we're screwed.
Vestan Pance Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 That was lost in the first half because of players not willing to close down or get close to cut off simple passes. Basically not doing what they were doing to us.
EnderbyFox Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 The sad thing is I'm 90% sure I can foresee the team for Stoke away on Saturday, it'll be 4-4-2 with Drinkwater in for King. I can't fathom why Ranieri is persisting with this formation when players like Mendy are returning from injury and it's clear that Slimani & Vardy can't work together upfront. Every single away game is so depressingly easy to predict and it's thoroughly embarrassing to watch us play so negatively.
evostic Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Now that our long-throws have started going straight out for goal-kicks I'm hopeful we'll look to be a little more creative. I honestly don't get the tactic, never works.

TheSomersetFox Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Ranieri proves he's learned nothing again. Style of football is embarrassing and ineffective. We DO have good footballers in this team, some of the stuff we played last year was brilliant; Man City away, Swansea away, Newcastle away etc. We're lazy and have absolutely no tempo these days. Serious questions over Ranieri's position for me again. Praying he reverts back to what we had at the start of last season.
whoareyaaa Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Change the formation PLEASE, utter depressing what won us the title last season ain't going cut the mustard this time around, we ain't playing sunday league teams are finding it easy to stop any threat we offer. Marhez seems to be finding form but the formation is causing us to many problems Wes morgan has started 77 league games in a row. change it around keep possession, pass it about... bench albrighton or train him to play it on the floor like he did at times in the second half for the first time ever. give Gray or Kapuska A GO and START OKA****INGZAKI
filbertway Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Musa did really well to get to the byline and put in a great that ended up with Vardy laying off Leo. Hard for any of them to build up a run of a form when they don't play. Another game where Gray gets 0 minutes.
iamafox Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Claudio will just never ****ing learn will he? You cannot approach every away game with more or less the same team/formation and hope to get a positive result each time. Tonight, there was a lack of vigour, desire and committment once again. We so desperately need to win games like this and to not even bother putting in every ounce of effort in such situations like this is unacceptable. Sort it out Claudio or you'll be gone before you know it.
Father Ted Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 So, as the Champions we've gone and signed; A goalkeeper who is a young version of Mark Schwarzer A striker (winger?!) who the **** knows who just seems to be a glorified Jeff Schlupp with a slightly worse touch A striker who is a poor mans Ulloa A young winger who can't even get in the squad A central midfielder who just doesn't look good enough A right back/centre back who is a top half championship defender FARCE
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Everytime I watch them now it just makes me so frustrated, it isn't that we are losing it is the way we are losing... that first half was just atrocious, there was no need to allow them to have so much control and easily pick a pass, I could see the goal coming. Second half was better but we gave them something to keep, so they never really had to come out, you can't go one or two behind and expect to get anything from the game.
jayfox26 Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Didn't want to seem negative after the city game as it was a great performance and result but I was worried that it was more to do with city''s pathetic tactics and defending than anything else. They played how teams played against us last season and we spanked them. It wasn't any new tactics or anything from Claudio it was just city and pep were quite frankly pathetic. We are still in a big mess and we will not win many games keep playing 4-4-2.

Mahrez and Albrightshit, spent majority of the time running around shadows, were not playing as a forceful unit by definding and pressing from the front, backed up by the midfield. were sitting back and trying to defend and cover spaces which is not natural to the team.
The Guvnor Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 It really is quite sad that we have become so inept in such a short time

At least we'd have someone that would drive and create chances. Couldn't disagree more. He looked awful and anybody who could run faster than a snail would have killed us tonight.
MC Prussian Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 2 minutes ago, Father Ted said: Slimani would lose headers to Wilshere, he's powderpuff in the air. Ulloa won more headers in 7 minutes tonight than Slimani has from long balls all season. No, he isn't. His powerful headers are one of his main assets. The problem was the lack of supply and it just baffles me why Ranieri didn't instruct his players to go more out wide and smack them long balls into the box. Apart from one chance, we were getting nowhere with our passing when Slimani was still on.

Number 6 Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 I knew we were going for the title last year when I started looking at the results of Arsenal, Man city and Spurs. Hope Hull, Sunderland and Swansea don't win tomorrow.
The People's Hero Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 It's so simple. When we press and harry and play a high energy game we are still wonderful. When we we don't press and are languid and considered we just end up looking clueless and it doesn't suit our players The interesting thing is that it's correctly been spotted that Claudio has on occasions chastised players for closing down so it's all part of a plan.

At least we still played football though, back then I felt like we were very close to being a good team with just a tweak or the right addition, despite our position. At the moment it feels like we're a mile away from that. We've regressed to what feels like a Leicester parody, an exaggeration of what we actually were. At our best we had a bit of everything and a fast counter was just one weapon we had. The focus has shifted so heavily onto direct counters we've forgotten the rest of what we can do.
