I remember at Bury saying, this new guy(Gokhan Inler)looks crap, but the little black lad in the middle(N'Golo Kante) looks great.lol

Spot on. Inler looked too slow even that night and Kante looked world class even on the left wing.

Steve Corica looked class on his debut scored a cracker away to sunderland.

Possibly if memory is correct Mark Robbins debut too and both scored?

But Corica looked a class above.

Probably but it wasn't for Leicester lol

lol I've had to research this now (thanks foxestalk history section) as I can vividly remember listening to it round my grandparents house. And it turns out it was Steve Moran, bagged 1 v shef weds away on his slightly less impressive than I remember debut in a 2-2 draw. More impressively he bagged a hat trick against them a couple of months later early in the new year.

Mark Davies full debut against Peterborough in League One.  One player I wanted us to get on a permanent deal so badly at the time.  He was different class.

Yes, I was gutted when we couldn't sign him.

Didn't Iwan Roberts score two on his debut against Wolves and also put on over the bar from literally on the goal line?

I'm not sure that's physically likely

Joe Waters - two goals against QPR in the FA Cup quarter final in 1974:

Mark Bright - two goals against Everton at Filbert Street in 1985. Lineker was playing his first game for the Toffees. Chants of 'what a waste of money' directed at Gaz from the lads in PEN3!

Mark Robins debut was away to Manchester City. He scored the goal in a 1-0 win.

Covering a few points.

Kevin Campbell was class full stop in his loan spell. Would have loved to see him more.

Collymore as corrected by a few. Did make his debut at vicarage road before the hat trick at home.

The Hungarian looked decent v cov. To be fair not sure what happened after that. But I guess it being v cov gives him some place in folklore.

Chris Wood certainly had an impact.

I was there ! Great day. Look at our away end ! I was in a stand half way along the pitch- you could just about touch the ceiling and I'm not tall.  Mixed in with a few other city fans and went crazy when we scored

Wonderful memories. I listened to it on Radio Two - I think Alan Parry and Peter Jones were the commentators. Love Barry Davies' commentary -  a cut above the modern day equivalents who don't really say the right things at the right time.

a) Pontus Kamaark

b) The Tunch

Didn't Pontus get a serious knee injury on his debut?..

Another question.... I remember Len Glover making quite an impression on his debut.. Was it against Arsenal?

And was he  age 16 ish?

Or did I dream all this?

No, that's all true. Think it was quarter final.

Regarding the Hungarian dude v cov his mate joins a few weeks later on a loan deal also. We got relegated and they went back to their clubs with no permanent deal possible.
