Leicester City v Chelsea match thread

Albrighton has whipped in a few brilliant balls... I think we need to continue like this and I can see a goal

Courtois too dominate in the air, as is Luiz. We need fast balls along the floor for this game. Like Vardy's cross. In a front three, the third attacker would have been in after the push away from Courtois.

I don't see why some are complaining about Albrighton. In fact, beside the early Musa occasion, the only threats came from Albrighton crosses.

For every single sentence he starts with the microphone a foot away then bring it closer to his mouth until the sentence ENDS WITH SOME UTTER INANITY.

Ha ha exactly and beautifully described

The first goal was typical of 3 at the back, and the man coming off on the inside on blind side.

Albrighton having to put a shift and a half in, dropping back to help Morgan and attacking to provide Vardy, can't really fault him as he is caught in 2 minds all the time as to wether to attack or defend.

The midfield is looking decent tho but 1 of the CM's HAS to take on an attacking stance, as all 3 want to play defensive and no help is being given to Vardy or Musa.

Its keeping Chelsea at bay, but the formation is void of any attacking threat with no midfield runners, we're hoping for a 40 yard through ball to vardy on a 5 pence!

Scholes picking up point earlier someone made re. DD having to go wide. And agrees we are  not aggressive enough.

Yeah it does seem to negate him as a player, he should be in the thick of things in the middle

still not out of this game but a tough second half to turn it around

Scholes wondering why we haven't stuck with what served us so well last season, we did that's why we are 15th.

Hopefully one of Albrighton or Drinkys through balls will find it to Vardy or Musa's feet.  Ndidi has looked good, getting his foot in, winning balls and looks to drive forward.

Chelsea just seem better at everything.

It's annoying when we pass the ball around and it ends up at Morgan who seems to take an age to decide what to do so punts it up to the opposition or back to Kasper who punts it out or back to Chelsea.

Albrighton deserves to stay on the pitch and I kind of like the wingback formation but I feel changing to 433 would get us back in. Fuchs off  simpson on for me and then bring on gray later if we still haven't found a goal

I think some of the people posting in this thread about Albrighton have been watching a different game to me.

We were slow starting, we conceded a soft one.  Since then we've been pretty solid and created the occasional chance against the league leaders.

Kasper has hardly been that busy, so far, has he?

We're still in this.  Next goal is massive.  If we get it, the atmosphere changes and we could move on. We concede it and I think we'll concede a hatful.

Watching the goal - drinks should be following Pedro in, left Albrighton with two men.

I'd say Fuchs is to far left, almost dragged into his natural position, which in turn drags Huth and Morgan across leaving a free man at the back post.

Controlling? They've hardly done anything besides the first ten minutes. We're controlling the game but can't break them down.

They're leading, they've purposely retreated to get us in their own half, so they can better launch their counter-attacks. They made the way through the middle completely waterproof. All that's left is crossing, which is somehow pointless given that we have Musa and Vardy. The two are not suited for crossing. I'm expecting a reverting to 4-5-1 and Musa's substitution for Ulloa.

All we need is gray on to go at the chelski defenders and make them panic.  They can be had we just need to turn the screw on them and play some good clean balls to musa and vardy to run onto.  Agree DD looks slow and plodding thru the game he needs to do more and better.

albrighton crosses are quality today

It feels defensive heavy this formation or at least the personnel in it..... we need a number 10 or attacking CM

Begrudgingly I have to say that David Luis for them has been immense - what a footballer.
