Burnley match thread

U can see Burnley's approach though. Win free kicks anywhere inside our half and sling in long balls and it's very effective. We continually give the ball back to them and as for Vardy, he's not put a foot right.

I was fuming when mahrez picked the ball and no one tried to help him. They looked at him like he was holding a bomb or something. 5 other midfielders and a fullback and no one had the guts to call for the ball. FUUUMMMIINNGGGG!!!!!:@:@

Shinji would call... but then Mahrez wouldn't answer :P

I agree Burnley are looking the better team with us giving the ball away too easily, but we've still managed to contain them pretty well. Definitely like our shape better now that Mahrez is back, but there must be more attacking intent from the central midfield if we want to edge this.

Okazaki's got to come on. It's a shame Ulloa's sulking as this game is made for him.

Ulloa is also injured isn't he?

Its amazing that pro footballers cant pass the bloody ball ten yards. There is so much space out there today and they are begging to be caught out with their high line. Unfortunately its that same old problem, our players are under performing and showing very little quality. Drinkys passing is shocking, Albrighton when played on the left cant see simple balls and struggles (looks better when he moved to the right) and all in all the offensive unit despite so many good players cant do the simple things.

On the positive front we are defending well and you cant say they have had clear cut chances or even tested Kasper. We have remembered how to shoot on target from distance with a couple of speculative shots that their keeper had to make saves albeit routine and all in all it looks like we can give them problems.

Id say another 15-20 as is with the switched formation but if Vardy doesnt do it sling Musa to get us the winner because Vards is just lacking in so much confidence at the moment and it looks like the world is against him. He snatched at a chance he would have buried last season after reading that poor backpass and he ran offside when if his brain was on and he waited half a second he would have been clean through. Time for Drinky and Mahrez to raise their standard as well.

TBF Morgan looks like he's over his stomach bug, much improved...  although it does look like it's left him a little bloated!

It was nice to see a little passion with Simpson locking horns with that **** Barnes. First time I've seen a Leicester player appear awake for months...

I don't get calling for the managers head and posting pics of manure when it's nil nil away at a side with one of the best home records in the league.

And I don't think Albrighton deserves the slagging he's been getting.

Still plenty to play for.

Pass completion at 51.8% at half time.

When we pass the ball its basically a lottery as to whether it goes to a claret or blue shirt.

Never mind the fact that this is a PL side I'm talking about, that would be shameful for any professional football club.

What can we expect with DD and Albrighton in the same midfield. The less said about huth and Morgan the better.

I put this down to claudio the players every game for the last 6/7 are playing long ball football I assume that's down too Claudio's doing and tactics otherwise they would be keeping the ball playing the passing game awaiting the opportunity too open up the defence

When over half of our team's first thought is to hoof, what do we expect?!

Not even sure what we should do to change it. We've tried loads of formations. This one on paper, should work! These are the players I would have picked too but they just continue to play pantz!

No closing down, acres of space for the opposition and all the time in the world on the ball. Add to that, us not causing them any threat at all, and it is a stroll in the park, for a very average team.

Just a matter of time before one of these crosses or shots they are allowed to have, will result in a goal.

I can pass a football and I'm fairly composed whilst in possession. Can I get added to the 25 man squad? I'll only take £10,000 a week. At least I won't play long ball to no one!

That aside, when I've coached kids teams, I've always taught them that ball retention is vital. If you have the ball, they can't score. I've never seen the point in lumping it straight back to them.

Last season, the full backs tucked in and we allowed teams to cross balls into the box as we were confident that we'd win the aerial battle. What's changed? Why are we allowing the space in front of Wes and Huth?

its utterly baffling what has happened to us!

I don't think I have ever witnessed such a turn around in literally everything to do with this club in the short space from May to August!!!

I can take being shite, I really can, we have had plenty of years practice, but we are PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS FFS!!

I know we could still conceivably win tonight but point still stands....speechless

Sorry after two thrashings... especially against a poor Southampton we need to be winning matches and looking like we can. A scrappy draw against Burnley doesn't do it for me

Just out of interest, what is your connection to Preusen Münster??

Against Derby, Claudio was screaming at them to keep it on the floor. I just think the players have zero confidence and panic!

If Claudio wasn't happy theyvwearnt addering to his tactics he should drop them.
