Time to get it together and support the team!

Ok so we didnt get who we wanted in the transfer window. It was depressing.

And we have had some strange team selections/ tactics by Ranieri.

Has the efforts of some of the players warranted our support? Quite frankly, thats irrelevant.

The transfer window has closed and we have to move on. We have a real risk of being sucked further down the table and i don't think any of us want that.

I just think that this grey cloud surrounding us right now isnt going to help one bit.

Leicester City isnt about any individual  current player - this club was here before they were even born and it will be here long after they have left the club. We needs to support Leicester C ity, not make it about the individuals

We, the fans, can have an effect on this situation. even if its minimal! We need to surround the club in positivity, on social media, at the ground. just in general  and wherever you are, we need to support the team.. We need to do what we can to motivate the players. Will it make any difference? debatable. But i think we need to at least try! I dont want us to return to the championship!!

come on lads!!! Support the team!!    :scarf: :scarf::scarf::scarf:

Completely agree! Being unsupportive won't help any one. Do people think that our player are OK with being in a relegation fight?. They are trying their best. Maybe it is not enough. But, at least they are trying to to do their jobs. So, let's at least show some support. COYF:scarf::scarf:

I know it's corny as fook.... but we need to support them to the hilt no matter what like we did before. Lets not leave things as late and raise the roof now.

I did feel a bit cringy writing it but we really need to... really really need to...

I'll just say what I said in a similar thread...

Easier said than done at a time when the crowd aren't bothered if the team don't come out the traps in the first 10 minutes.

Thought Burnley's home support sounded excellent on my stream last night. They even had voices to help them instead of using bits of cardboard.

People need to stop excusing themselves from singing if no one around them is too. Just go for it. In the past two seasons we became renowned for getting louder when we went a goal down. Bring that spirit back and the players will respond.

I just hope the fans vs man united refrain from insulting or booing our players. If you are buying a ticket as a Leicester supporter, then support the players. They are trying their best to put a performance for you guys. I know I can't tell people what they should and shouldn't do because they are paying with their own money but, we are in a relegation battle, and the moral of  every single player is important.

Hopefully we'll be up for it on Sunday and it will give them a lift.

In reality, Sunday afternoon kick-offs are shite and nobody is ever properly up for it, and we'll be 2-0 down after 5 minutes.

For the majority, I think we have been incredibly supportive and patient.

Ranieris name has been chanted every game so far, we've stood by the players even when they haven't recognised us (Porto away) and we've been vocal in every game.

But the frustration sets in when you are supporting a team who look incredibly careless at times.

Come Sunday I'll do the same, sing loud, but you just know the players will do the same and after half a season so many are fed up and have gone with the mindset - they don't care so why should we?

When is it not time to get together and support the team? Isn't that the eternal duty of the fan no matter the team's predicament?

That said, I hope we as fans can see beyond the shitness of the last few months and get behind them as well as we can.

If they show us 100% commitment and press and challenge United from kick off on  Sunday then I am pretty sure the fans will get right behind them. Play the usual tactics and it sends everyone into a coma

something's odd.. we need to support the players.. and the players don't like or have the intestinal fortitude to support/fight for the club??

Fully support this.

If you cannot commit to it and you think the players will let you down, please sell your ticket to someone who is going to be positive during the game and get behind the team.

The problem is that turgid performance after turgid performance gets to everyone.  I'm normally pretty positive but I am going to the game this weekend and it's the first time in ages that I'm not really looking forward to it.  As a supporter of our club I get behind the team and cheer them and encourage them but I'm getting tired.  It is a two way street and I now need something from the players.  It doesn't have to be anything great either, just a strong tackle or four consecutive passes would help.

The "support" or "atmosphere" is very closely allied to what is being served up on the pitch. I expect a rousing entrance but if the level of performance drops to what we have seen recently then I fully expect the atmospher to turn toxic pretty quickly.

Last two away games I would say the crowd has been positive and supportive but a little muted, which is hardly surprising given the paucity of hope on the field. But the OP is right. I feel it is a total collapse in confidence rather than effort that is the problem. No one played particularly badly last night, there was simply no evidence of a game plan, and some, notably Drinky and Vardy, look absolutely devoid of confidence and belief. I hope it will change, I fear it will not, so all we can do is be as postive as we can

It can maybe be seen a a chicken or the egg sort of situation.. what should come first, the performance or the support?

We can probably keep discussing that as we slip further down the table. We don't actually know whjats going on.. are they just not trying? are they completely low on confidence? Do they just not care?

If the answer is yes to either of those, maybe some rousing/ unconditional support  could galvanize/  motivate them?

Or we could just sit back and wait for them to start playing better...

Spot on, I just want to see effort. There is/has been no effort now for a while. That's the disappointment. If the team gave 100% for 90 minutes and lose 7-0 to a much better side, you can hold your hands up and say we tried. Same if we go down losing to sides better than us. Problem is at present we are not trying, and getting turned over by average sides week in week out.

2-0 down at home on a Sunday afternoon against Man United.

Where have I seen this before??

In the past two seasons our team were renowned for fighting harder when they went a goal down.

Now it's heads-down, shrug of the shoulders and continue playing shit.

The crowd got louder and pushed the players on because the players played like they felt they could come back into the game - now we just see a load of unmotivated, dispirited over-paid players wondering about the pitch in a daze.

There is a massive difference - the fans don't feel close to the players any more. Back then we were all in it together and now the fans see the players with their massive bumper pay-packets and superstar lifestyles and lack of effort and think WTF - we're not in this battle together anymore.

That's why the situation is different now. We won't resurrect the atmosphere of the great escape because there is a gulf in difference now - the chemistry has changed.
