Tuna Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 'I want to see. We have brought this guy on loan, the player, then I will watch him much better, then he can help us,’ said Ranieri. 'I am sure but sometimes it depends on the character of the player. In a week maybe he can understand the Premier League, maybe there are players who need a little more time. 'He has very good potential. I hope he can help us. When you arrive in the window with a target it is not easy. It is not easy. Then we work so well. I am satisfied.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4192232/Claudio-Ranieri-says-Molla-Wague-not-ready.html#ixzz4XlT75exL
Stadt Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 This is like a Leicester City 2016/17 headline generator headline, this is it - we've reached peak Leicester.
FLAN Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 He needs a 100k contract and media deal before he can fit in
Dan Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 This is all one big social experiment. It has to be.

Koke Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 He's kinda right tbf. Ndidi played 90 minutes away to Everton 5 days after signing for us. Some players can be thrown in and others can't do that.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 But benny is ready! #WelcomeBenny #BennyBack #Fearless

Wymsey Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 It's not about having ''very good potential'' etc, as it sounds like he'll might do a Kapusta and very rarely play. Need players that can fit in straightaway and face the music. Haven't got time to pee about now.

erlee Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 if i am the owner i'd be horrified.. but transfer window has closed. who can you sign anyway ? Rudkin must go before CR we became bigger - now we are deflated
jim5000 Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Why did we sign a loan player with good potential for a relegation battle? What are the odds we don't see Wague play this season....
sm1 Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Considering non of the players look "ready" he'd fit right in here.

HybridFox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 It's interesting. Albeit on a much larger scale, Mourinho bizarrely refused to name Mkhitaryan in his United squads for the majority of the first half of the season. People questioned him, he consistently said he wasn't ready. When he eventually did get his chance, he's seemed un-droppable since. Perhaps Mourinho was right after all. I was patient with Ranieri alongst the same lines. But its now February and we are YET to really see either Benalouane or Kapustka given a look-in. Judging by the comments, it could be the same with Wague. Surely 6 months in when our squad has been awful and we are down to bare bones at times, they have to play! I really don't get it
FLAN Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Unless Claudio is highlighting the poor recruitment??

I really don't get it Sorry, but it doesn't make much sense to compare Mkhitaryan, who came from a top club like Dortmund and who has a lot of CL experience, with Benalouane, Kapustka or Wague. They simply don't have his class.

What are the odds we don't see Wague play this season.... Because we were desperate to get someone in, and Acerbi who was clearly the number one target was seemingly not for sale at any price in the january window, and after arseing about trying to get back up targets in, in the last couple of days who were not for sale, we settled for someone we had looked at 2 or 3 years ago when Pearson was the manager. We were that desperate, that we had to get the files out from 3 years ago to bring a body in! It is highly unlikely that this was someone that Ranieri pushed for, but was probably told this is the best we can do! The recruitment at this club is an absolute shambles. Where was the back up option to Ramierez, if as seemed likely, Middlesbrough didn`t want to sell him to us. Clearly we are desperate for an attack minded, creative midfielder, so why were there seemingly no back up options to Ramierez, i can`t remember us being even linked with any. Why was a proper right back not targeted, to replace, or at least put pressure on Simpson! Why were we not in for Carl Jenkinson, who would have been an upgrade on Simpson in my opinion. Why were we not all over trying to bring in Snodgrass, who can actually cross a decent ball, and take a decent set piece, as well as being a decent player. We also couldn`t let Ulloa go, despite us knowing he wanted to move, and that there were interested clubs even before january window opened, because apparently we didn`t have time to replace him with anyone else. Why the hell didn`t we have players lined up, with there being every chance that Ulloa may have some clubs bidding for him. Instead of that, we now have a player that is pissed off and doesn`t want to be here! Like i said a shambles, and that isn`t the fault of Ranieri, that is the fault of the recruitment team and who ever is responsible for bringing players in! I don`t like to see people lose their job, but heads should roll over our recruitment, they really should, for their sheer incompetence!
