He has also been on trial at Crystal Palace who were desperate for centre halves and not even they signed him and ended up getting a couple in during the last day of the transfer window. Southampton going for him makes sense as they sold Fonte and we injured Van Dijk for them so they are desperate for bodies. We have a new lad on loan who will hopefully be ready soon and Amartey has just come back from the AFCON and made the team of the tourney playing at CB for most of the time. He isnt needed for now but had Molla not signed I guess we would have been interested.
