People will no doubt scoff at this but it's not beyond the realms of possibility. Has all the attributes and promise to be a top player and Juve seem to have Serie A comfortably sewn up, they could afford him time, bed him in without immediate pressure and let him learn from Bonucci, Chiellini and Barzagli. He could really come on there.

Apart from ability.

Am I missing something? Do we have to sell players now to balance the books or something?  Juventus can identify who they like but if he is under contract and the Club want to keep him, the Juve can bog off.

He's not a bad player at all. We do need to find a position for him though.

Never saw him playing as CB so I can't comment. What I do know though, is how good Bonucci und Chiellini are. The news come from a ghanean newspaper so I'll take this info with a grain of salt.

They can have him as part of a special deal:

By amartey, get musa and mendy free.

Bonnuci, Chielinni, Barzagli, rugani will all be ahead of him

Still having a hard time imagining him in Italy. Defense there is like a religion.

Not mobile enough for me, not sufficiently imposing and definitely not at ease with little terriers running all around him demanding he cope with their off-the-ball running. Yes, he'll likely keep improving and may one day find a specialist position where he might do that more quickly but, for now, he's no better than any number of aspiring youngsters.

If he really thinks he'd be better off  - and get more playing time - at Juventus, or his agent thinks he can get him a contract there then good luck to the lad.

Take a profit I'd say because I'd presume that's what we bought him for. I don't see a Patrick Vieira in the making, but hope springs eternal.

Amartey, is now at that age and stage in his life. City will know that...

Even if Its BS about Juventus...He either kicks on and ups his potential, or becomes just a good..Also ran (initself a good career)

From the outside looking in and following players while at your club, is part of the enjoyment of being a fan....

The nice thing if he has that higher potential, it wouldnt hurt him to stay at Leicester to hone those Skills...

If our LeicesterS own story is still on the rise, it would be his advantage to stay 1-2 seasons.

Juventus I feel wouldnt give him time to build and discover his qualities.

We havent yet heard from the man himself his desired position, that said, In England alone, we had players

Like Nish, Bell, Mclintock, Emlyn Hughes, Madely, who covered damn well 2-3 positions..across 2 lines.

So on that front no rush...A little longer under Shapespeare cant be bad...

Agents at this stage can ruin young players potential..Stories like Kante are rare...

Attributes say he will be a good defender. He's only 21 and has recently starred for a very good Ghana side at AFCON. What an odd transfer link though, not sure he'd leave just yet!!

Have I missed something? Is this the Amartey that isn't even good enough to get into our first team at present? Wanted by Juve? The only thing 'I've told you so' over is that he's a centre back. Juve clearly agree, if there is any truth in the story

The thing that puzzles me is how much excitement there still is over a player who, unless I'm wrong, hasn't hardly started a league game since the AFCON. It's clear he only played so often because we were so short.

Seems a good lad though. We'll see if he breaks through. If he does, it'll be at centre back

Italian giants Juventus have identified Ghana defender Daniel Amartey as a potential summer transfer.

The centre-back cum defensive midfielder is seen as a replacement for Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.

According to reports, he is among six players penciled down when the window opens in June.

Amartey is down the pecking order at Leicester City where his contract runs out in 2019.

He would not hesitate to move to the Serie A if guaranteed game time.

I so much agree with this. Anyone who knows anything about football will tell you this guy is not a midfielder, he is totally lost in that position. As a centre half, however, time will tell.

He's a good prospect, he part of a group of players including him, Gray, Chilwell and Ndidi who can be key players for years!

Lets be honest in the last 3 transfer window, him, Gray and Ndidi are the only good work we have done, oh and selling Jeff!
