ozleicester Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Ive not seen much discussion about it (maybe ive missed it), but that free kick that led to Huth's goal was stunning and the most intricate set piece ive seen us play in ...years. Just brilliant. What a goal (hehe and Vards after) 25 seconds in
StanSP Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Albrighton's cross with the outside of his foot was exquisite. Been a while since one of our 'training ground' set-pieces came off for us. And it was done to perfection.
sdb Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Agreed. Was amazed at the lack of praise, here and on motd.
ramadaone Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Paul Ince on BT Sport said it was a spur of the moment thing !?!
Biggus Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Agreed - I thought that was training ground routine. Albrighton is playing the best he has ever done and he and Mahrez have a developed a great partnership of late.
dynamark Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 their second showed how everyone is drawn to carrol

ScouseFox Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 thought it was probably the best goal I've ever seen
DB11 Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 We always try stuff like that for free kicks and corners
adejo92 Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Cracking goal. Well worked and no doubt it was planned and practised.
Riyad_Suarez Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 A brilliant free-kick which was clearly rehearsed, which could only have been topped if benalouane had come back from go knows where and scored that free-kick from the half way line! Class on both counts
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 I think they must've been working on that move in training, executed it very well. I've noticed a few saying we look more of a threat from set pieces recently, can't say I noticed until yesterday.
JerryLundegaard Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Yeah when Albrighton picked the ball up around the D I thought he'll take a touch and have a shot. But the first time cross - there's no way that was spur of the moment!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Zidane like it really was BEAUTIFUL, deserves the caps because it was that good
Thracian Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Such a clever goal. Surely pre-planned and brilliantly executed.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Great free kick - they've clearly worked on set pieces over the extended break and come up with some nice ideas. And let's be fair... there was also a decent free kick from the opposition yesterday.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Shakey has the team believing again, and that was a free-kick straight from the play book. Add confidence and you execute it. Albrighton was like zidane with that ball
Max Power Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 That's why we take short corners sometimes (much to the intense anger of people who sit near me), it moves defenders out of position and creates different angles. Hope to see more of the same. Set pieces are so under utilised by almost all teams. Get creative.
TJB-fox Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 I reckon the free kick was a bit of a fluke to be honest. Watched it loads now and I think the original plan of the routine was to work it to Fuchs on the left to have a chance at crossing, but it turned out that West Ham blocked that route so he had to go to Albrighton... Unless they had planned and practiced Mark Albrighton whipping in that ridiculous ball. Seems more likely that it was meant for Fuchs, but God knows with Leicester these days

GeorgeTheFox Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 I hate people making out like they're hard done by but if that assist was from a more glamorous player than Albrighton then the pundits would still be cleaning up the studio. Absolutely stunning stuff and just shows how much confidence we're playing with. Thought the MOTD highlights and analysis weren't an accurate representation of the game
