I'm going to hex it all but....

This European run of our is simply magnificent! Honestly, its something I never thought could ever happen especially when I think back to some of the old Second Division dross I watched at Filbert Street more than 25 years ago.

Anyway, this is where I pop the balloon. Sorry but its something I just need to say. Saying we are in the quarter finals of the premier European competition is silly but when you say we are 'only' five games from winning it it gets plain bonkers. Leicester City five games away from being the continental champions?  Do me a favour, I remember watching Ian Ormondroyd and Jimmy Willis pulling on a blue shirt.

So now I've said it it definitely won't happen (if it ever could) but to be sitting here even thinking there's a micro chance of it happening is enough to bring a smile on my face, if only for a few weeks longer.

If that's who you remember as being dross from that time period then you  have the beginnings of dementia, my friend!

Not anywhere near my all time Leicester 11, or the 2nd third or4th team but we had much worse!

Ha ha ha quite possibly! They were the first two that came to my mind but the more I go back through the foggy mist of the past the more other names comes out, names I have tried to supress for many years.

Good grief, I'm going to need therapy

Jimmy Willis actually had a good game against Derby in the 1994 play off final. Saying that, I also remember listening to coverage of a game against Oldham when Nev Foulger and Geoff Peters were actually rendered speechless by his complete ineptitude on the ball.

I don't  think we have much chance if any of winning it but I bet Man City fans were watching some dross a few years back.

We are only two ties from the Final.

Two wins even that's all we need. Then a huge noisy turn out v barca.

Just remember:

They'll never stay up.
They'll be relegated next season though.

They're a disgrace for sacking Pearson.

Ranieri? Really?
They'll be in a relegation struggle and Ranieri will be sacked by October.
They can't keep up this form.

They haven't played anyone good yet.
They'll fade away by Christmas.
They'll fade away after Christmas.
They'll lose their best players in January.
They'll struggle at the Etihad.

They won't get over the defeat at Arsenal.

They can't handle the pressure of a title run-in.

They're not going to win the league.
They've not got enough experience to win the league.

They can't win the league.
Oh.

Errr.

Little Leicester well done.

They were very good despite being shit.

All the big teams were in transition.

They were lucky.

They got all the decisions from the referees.

They'll lose all their best players in the summer.
And they'll struggle in Europe.
They won't get out of that group.

They're the worst reigning Champions in human history.

They're a disgrace to the human race for sacking Ranieri.

They've not played anyone good in Europe yet.
They'll get crushed by Sevilla in the last 16.

They still should have kept Ranieri and gone down.

They've still not played anyone good in Europe yet.

They've got no chance against Atletico.

"They" don't know what they're on about.

I BELIEVE.

We don't even need that, 2 scoring draws away from home and 2 home goalless draws...that would be enough.

I doubt a post on here will effect our chances of winning it as I don't think we've got any chance of winning it but you've got to be in it to have a chance kids and we're still in it :scarf:

We have been the embarassment in Europe 'they' predicted...oh wait.....:D

I understand that i was hoping we could beat the teams not go through on away goals.

Not that it really bothers me if we won it. But it will stop spuds and arsenil moaning because we had a plumb draw and never beat a decent side. lol

"They only won it because Huth's free kick against Stoke finally came out of orbit above Cardiff and bounced off Messi's arse into his own net"

Unless I'm wrong the 6th game would be the World Club Championship so previous poster factually correct.

we've proven people wrong with how well we have done in Europe and however far we get now we can at least say that and as English Champions we did our country proud in Europe and at our first Champions League attempt too!
