EGBFitness Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 FFS. This club is literally a ****ing rollercoaster
Karljohn Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 Is this the point where we find out his dad is from Cameroon and Musa is actually 47 years of age. Terrible player, can't understand how we pursued him for so long.
Guest Danny Clender Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 'The inquiry has since been closed and no further action is to be taken' The end, right?

And in order apparently protect his football career he was given community service instead. I'm not defending the guy, but the judicial system has punished him. And if it's punished him to the extent he is reformed and made an example of by forever linking his name to his crime (especially when his career rests on his fame) and made to serve the community, then I find it hard to fume too much anger against the judge. Fair enough if you want Simpson punished more, but saying he hasn't been punished is a little disingenuous. how is that justice or a punishment? He's a footballer, none of that stuff will have an effect on him. It's certainly not affected his football career.
The whole world smiles Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 No offense to anyone who lives their but i could imagine most people who live in places like countersthorpe (especially the posh bit where the footballers live) to be right nosey, curtain twitching, hyacinth bouquet bastards who have had very sheltered lives. For me personally having spent 13 years living off Narbrough Road it would take more than an African couple arguing at 1am for me to call the police!
TiffToff88 Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 If we got rid of him for this incident it would bring back the whole Double Standards debate. Why sack him and not the better performing first team regular Danny Simpson for very similar incidents? Why sack James Pearson, Tom Hopper and Adam Smith but not the better performing first team regular Jamie Vardy for a similar racial abuse incident? Not that i'm bothered, Musa is an appalling excuse for a footballer so any possible excuse we can find to get rid, i'm all for it. But it will no doubt stir up more controversy in the national and international press. We really would become one of the most hated clubs in the world!
MC Prussian Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 Tabloid newspaper with "news" about an LCFC player who has a lot of enemies within the fanbase. Knives are out, verdicts are spoken. Fans are relieved they have finally found an opportunity to unleash their anger. So look, I'm disappointed with Musa's impact at the club like many others and still have hope he'll come good (although it's a feint kind of hope). But this? Until a court has decided upon a verdict, you can put all that speculation back into the drawer. Get a hold of yourselves and focus on what's really important - Champions League, man!

Vardy incident and the Bangkok 3 incidents were similar?! Are you feeling alright?

Derogatory racist terms were used in both incidents, both incidents were filmed, the only difference is vardy didn't ask his victim to tongue his arse hole

Nah mate, haven't you read the morons want him sacked because he's's not played brilliantly so far. They think, the best thing is to write of £16m on someone, who from the last report won't even be facing charges over the alleged incident. This place is becoming a bit of a joke, the abuse chucked out to our own players is laughable.

And in any case, i'm not saying that i personally believe the incidents are on the same level, i'm saying thats what the press said when the Vardy incident came to light. The press asked why he wasnt sacked for racist abuse when the other 3 were, and i have no doubt that if we sack Musa for this, they will do the same for Simpson.
Guest Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 I'll bet someone of Countesthorpe doesn't like him and has reported him.
Leicester69 Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 Let's have a bit of perspective... Musa has been a major let down since signing, one flash of brilliance in a friendly aside...he cant read the game, he has a terrible first touch, cant time a run and cant beat a player, plus he doesn't seem to "fit in" with the rest of the squad. Musa has been "accused" of an issue that any right minded person would condemn...but nothing is proven and it appears it has/will be concluded without further action. The two issues have no bearing on each other, and are not connected. Double standards are common place in football, SImpson is a convicted wife/partner beater as determined by the law, he also appears to me to attract trouble in everything he does, and is likely a highly flawed character OFF the field, but he gets unwavering support when he plays for LCFC...which is fair enough as he is a decent player...again the two issues aren't connected. Sell Musa in the summer if we can, based on his ability shown so far...support him if he plays on Sunday as he is playing for our club, it doesn't mean you have to like the fella.

MarriedaLeicesterGirl Posted 6 April 2017 Posted 6 April 2017 According to the latest news, Musa wasn't at home when the police arrived. Which means it wasn't a call that happened during an "incident," but someone calling in a suspicion of abuse. If it was the wife, calling when she was safe, you'd expect he wouldn't have been released with the case being closed. So it was either a "concerned friend" or a curtain-twitching neighbor. In either case, the police are required to take any report seriously, even if it is a phone call from a neighbor who was listening to a heated argument, and assumed the worst. So before people assume the worst, let the police do their job. Oh, they did?
