Musa arrested - Released without charge!

Let's all hope this isn't all as bad as it sounds and the media interest has escalated things a bit.

However don't let me mislead you into thinking that i'm playing this down at all, if it's the all kinds of f'd up it looks then hopefully the club will support his family in any way possible to help them  - i'm sure that will be the case with our owners as well.

The club will probably have to play it safe and suspend him indefinately at the moment until we know what's going on moving forward, safest play.

They are devout Muslims though, in a country with 50% Muslim population you'd think they wouldn't have to resort to getting married in a church  lol

Assuming they are now resident in the UK they would have to file for divorce under UK law .... you have to be a domicile in Nigeria to get a divorce there ... even if the marriage isn't recognised in the UK and they have children and residency and a home here ... the separation surely would be by UK law as common law partners  ....

If you are indeed an expert on African family law I apologise for my assumptions ??

Perhaps he'd been chatting to Moyes after the game about how to treat women .......

bad taste comment I'll get my coat ....

He'll not be charged. If Simpson can get away with it even when the Police walk in and see him with his hands round his girlfriends throat,  then Musa will also get away with it too. And that's sad.

if they live in a sub culture where the woman's role is considered of lesser importance there's every chance his wife will feel pressured into not wanting to press charges. She might not even feel pressured- she might be absolutely against it anyway.. even if it's for the lifestyle loss! Or even if she feels like she doesn't want to break up her family... or even it might feel like she is being disloyal to her husband  or her family. There's lots of possible reasons why she might not want to press charges..

Wasn't the conviction quashed?

Edit: it was his curfew that was quashed.

no jail time, curfew quashed. So what did they do call him a naughty boy? Yeah I'd say he got away with it..

Doesn't he now have a criminal conviction hanging over his head for the rest of his life, bared from anything that needs a clean CRB check, forever judged to be a woman strangler? And in order apparently protect his football career he was given community service instead. I'm not defending the guy, but the judicial system has punished him. And if it's punished him to the extent he is reformed and made an example of by forever linking his name to his crime (especially when his career rests on his fame) and made to serve the community, then I find it hard to fume too much anger against the judge. Fair enough if you want Simpson punished more, but saying he hasn't been punished is a little disingenuous.

Apparently he's been released without charge

A Leicester City spokesman told the Daily Star: 'We are aware that Ahmed Musa has today cooperated with a police inquiry relating to a disturbance in the early hours of this morning.

'The inquiry has since been closed and no further action is to be taken.

'We see no reason for formal action internally, though Ahmed will be given the opportunity to discuss the matter with football

management when the squad returns.'

Punished him?

And what job would he be after that will require a Crb check? a teacher? Social worker?

Call me old fashioned and cynical, but i wouldn't be suprised if the Sun paid off the neighbours to make a 999 call.

The media obviously are still a bit sore at us  for splitting up their footballing utopia and for the last few years they've always dug for headlines regarding us.

Don't believe everything you read, and don't write off Musa just because he's been hit and miss for us (he's not even had a full season to integrate to our style and the league). Same goes for the likes of Slimani and Mendy. Support the fuc**ng players.

If it turns out he is guilty of something, then fair enough. Until then, he is innocent until proven guilty and everyone should keep their negative opinions to themselves. You're the same sort of nobs who were sending abuse to Vardys wife over the Arsenal rumours.

I've no idea what the guy wants to do after football, but there's now a lot fewer things he can do, and a lot who may steer clear of a convicted man. All I'm saying is that he hardly skipped away from the court excitedly deciding his next victim in the happy knowledge nothing will happen, no one will care, no one will talk about it after a while, no one will judge him, the conviction will not follow him around and his life will have no repercussions from the conviction. There's a chance that's the case. But then that's why we have judges to weigh the evidence.

Can we cancel his contract for this? lol

And hopefully get back any upfront payment made to him and his manager..... no hope of the 16m that might as well have been poured down the drain
