Palace fans are a little obsessed with us aren't they? Bit like Sunderland. Lovely jealously.

Most of the stuff I've seen from CP sites has been respectful and acknowledges how much football we've been playing - they didn't let the Arsenal result give them delusions of grandeur !

I think the reason he isn't getting roasted is because that's probably the first costly mistake he's made. People can accept an exception to performance imo.

Personally thought King should have put his foot through the ball in clearing the previous attack instead of chipping the ball to the halfway line for them to attack again immediately. Sometimes launching the ball out of play allows teams to regroup, but the ball came straight back.

I have always liked Kingy, but thought yesterday him and Ulloa were very poor and cost us the match.

King should sign for Forest and play in league one next season!

Palace were a very attacking side yesterday. Putting the ball out of play wouldn't have changed much.

The criticism lies with Ndidi more than King, for me. Had 2 chances to stop that attack that led to the goal but they were lazy, half-arsed efforts.

Obviously King is the easier scapegoat, though.

And Ndidi???? , poor clearance and ball watching for their 1st goal, it was his space to cover in fact a couple of times he was caught ball watching.

That said IMO, hes still learning, and had no support from more experienced players.

I thought Ulloa was actually ok, and DD could of won it...but hey-ho..

It's almost illegal on here to criticise Ndidi or Drinkwater!

Reasonable result given the circumstances but we were tactically very poor yesterday and Shakespeare was out manoeuvred by Big Sam in the second half.

As soon as our second went in we should have immediately switched personnel and introduced Amartey and Chilwell for Mahrez and Ulloa to enable us to shut up shop by reverting to a 451 and doubling up at full back with Albrighton covering Simpson and Chilwell covering Fuchs.

Unfortunately for us Sam's been around the game long enough to be able to spot a weakness, exploit it, and also play to his own teams strengths.

Their tactical change at half time to target and overload our right side putting Townsend up against Simpson, whilst supporting him with Benteke, Cabaye and the overlapping left back Schlupp later followed by the fresh legs of Van Aarnholt, was a great move particularly as Mahrez wasn't tracking back. The fact that Mahrez also wasn't offering any threat going forward gave their left back the freedom to push on as weren't able to pin him back and exploit the space left behind. Sam also recognised that by keeping Zaha on the right, Palace would be able to stretch the play as we'd have no choice but to keep a close eye on their in form winger and this gave Cabaye a little more space to operate through the middle as King and N'Didi were being pulled out wide to try and give support to Simpson and Fuchs.

The injury to Benalouane is a worry particularly with Tuesday's game on the horizon, and I hope the Palace game hasn't taken too much out of the player's both physically and mentally as there were a few out on the pitch at the full time whistle yesterday who looked completely exhausted.

Anyway irrespective of the performance and taking into consideration results elsewhere the result takes us yet another step closer to ensuring Premier League football returns to Leicester next season, which given the situation a couple of months back is an achievement in itself.

Let's hope that we can give it another big push on Tuesday and continue the fairytale.

Hindsight is a great thing. Having known we'd draw 2-2 we should've shut up shop but if we did that and still drawn/lost the game people would've been saying why did we go so defensive. Swings and roundabouts. Didn't expect us to get anything from the game but we did, so maybe Shakespeare actually out manoeuvred big Sam? Just a thought

Their announcer was rabbiting on about clappers at half time

Illegally Blonde!!!

Ahh well sometimes we grit our teeth, and jump into the freezing cold water...

Point is I dont lambast anyone, players make mistake have poor moments, or

Poor periods, doesnt  mean they deserve the crucifying, so much that their careers are

seemed to be over at PL level.

I wouldn't blame anyone for yesterdays performance given the game we have on Tuesday. I thought it was played in and end of season atmosphere without many crunching challenges. In the second half they targeted us by going with width knowing Simpson was getting little help from either King or Mahrez.  We never adjusted quickly enough and credit to Palace for never giving up and got a result.

we would have taken a point beforehand but when your two goals up you should be holding on. That's probably Shakey's first mistake, But one I'm sure he'll learn from. But given that his priority is on Tuesday it's understandable. I just hope he hasn't sapped the strength from our limited squad by yesterday's lineup.

They've been on a great run. We've had lots of games, against decent opposition, and play a physically draining style. It's a decent point.

Do think some more changes could have been made though. We have a great young LB and start him from then bench instead of resting Fuchs. It's in our interests long term to give him game time and let him learn.

Good old Schluppers. Gave us one but then his studs got the better of him and he unwillingly came up with an assist for their goal  Or was it all carefully staged? It's Schlupperman, after all.

Disappointed about losing a two goal lead, but it's only 3 points to safety now.

disappointing to let a two goal lead slip but never mind, Shakes played a pretty strong team as well. Obviously they had one eye on the Atletico game and can't really blame them for that!
