Take that. Very disappointed not to of got 3pts though after being 0-2 up. The players did well to hold on especially after the midweek game. 37pts.

Not too dissatisfied with that result.

Works both ways with teams below us not winning - we could have capitalised on that but at least we've not dropped too many places.

Palace looked like they were always going to score but if you don't win the game, make sure you don't lose it. Huth was superb again. Absolute rock recently and will be heavily missed on Tuesday. Hopefully Benalouane isn't badly injured either, saw he had cramp so maybe taken off as a precaution.

Palace will be more frustrated at not winning that though.

Either way, we're 9 points ahead of Swansea in 18th. They've got some tough fixtures coming up including Everton & Utd. I think we'll be fine!

Surprised we got a point, thought we would lose today, but he didn't rest anyone other than Shinji and Drinkwater... Defending as a team was appalling again, which it has been all season away from home.

Benteke goal was a foul in my eyes, but too many crosses coming in from that side. Mahrez work rate seems to have dropped off again...

Very good away point. Just hope the injuries aren't too bad. It looks as though CS is more likely to put Fuchs CB than Amartey from the subs today.

TBH it makes the most sense. Fuchs has CL and International experience. Starting Amartey in position he rarely plays for us in against Madrid is really risky.

Athletico rested a bunch of theirs today.

Unfortunately we don't have the same luxury of squad depth.

Thought Ulloa was one of the biggest weak links today. Leo's lack of matches really showed. Also apart from his pass for our second goal thought Mahrez was again poor. I screamed at the TV when he took his eye off the ball and it went out for a Palace throw.

Doesn't stop you resting people, we chose in both league games to play people we didn't have to. In return we got just one point.

Ironically we were far better second half but conceded twice. I thought Benteke's goal was a blatant foul but I had Arabic commentary, what did the English speaking commentators say?

NBC were adamant that Benteke showed desire and that Benalouane should be stronger.

Absolute joke, obvious foul.

Nope it's still only 9 points. Being silly I know.

But because of the goal difference it does mean Swansea have to get ten points out of a possible 15 to catch us. And that's if we lose all of our last six.

Fantastic point for us today. I declare us safe

Yep. I agree. Get the DVD ready:

'48 Hours. The incredible story of how the 'worst champions ever' slumped into the relegation zone'.

Someone please do a mock up. Here's your template:

We did rest people. We just don't have the quality to rotate every position, especially given the current circumstances in the league.

Even Atletico are starting with arguably 7 of their best 11.

Mike Dean was ****ing terrible. Hate the cvnt

Defending for both their goals was shite. Benteke may have fouled when he won the header for second goal but we allowed him to bully over us.

First goal just poor too, failure to get rid of the ball.

Drinky very poor when he came on imo.

Ulloa started well and faded, and Vardy was limited for service again.

Decent point if we hadn't thrown away two goal lead

They said nothing about a foul. Just rampantly wanked off the inviting cross and brilliant header. You could literally hear them jizzing themselves that Palace were level.

Looking at Swansea and Hull fixtures, can see them only winning 3 each of their remaining games at most realistically.

So one more win in our last six would be enough although obviously want much more than that. We should stay up now which considering where we were a couple of months back is great.

We can afford to really give it a go on Tuesday evening!!!!

Benteke's goal was 110% a foul and should have been disallowed, period.

Anyway, one point away from home is not a bad result.

We need the boys to take a full deserved rest and take care of the injuries in front of what awaits us Tuesday night.

Still one point, but we should have won it. Their first came simply too early. Players were dead after the 60th minute.

Criminal lack of squad depth.

Hopefully relaxed, not dead.

A draw isn't a shocking result but the performance was pathetic. Extremely half hearted and negative.

We slowed the game down again, which is the sort of bizarre thing we were doing when we were really struggling.

Need to work harder defensively as well. It was so easy for them to have space in and around the box. All we had to do was be sensible at 2-0 and we let them back into it so easily.

Very frustrating to watch, we can do far better if we actually put our minds to it.

I'd agree, but my posts will get deleted!

Did those playing have an eye to Tuesday evening? We certainly didn't play with a high press. Huth was an exception and of course isn't available for the Atletico game

Did not want to go into Athletico game on run of 3 defeats so today's strong line up fully justified. A solid enough result to take the pressure off and halt an unwanted sequence of results. However our squad is threadbare and we have gained nothing from around 80 million quids worth of investment apart from Ndidi - this summer there had better be some clear-out and 2 or 3 quality signings that might actually be able to play regularly in the PL and have some sort of impact.

Benteke's header was a foul on Benalouane. Even if Benalouane wanted to jump he couldn't.

Starting to remember why Claudio dropped Albrighton, if I'm honest. Had a quick burst of form when he was reinstated, but he looks awfully ragged. Those corners, yikes. We don't have many opportunities, and to have three set pieces in the 2H that I remember wholly fluffed like that, well, it just isn't good enough.

I understand that Shakey will want to rely on Vardy's scoring punch Tuesday, but we realize so many more opportunities when we play Gray and Slim, the attack is visibly much more cohesive, players move the ball with purpose, it is just a wholly different look. I know they haven't cashed as much as they should have, but neither did Vardy most of the season, with professional footballers it is just a matter of time, cannot focus on a small sample. I know its been a struggle integrating Slim, but would like to see us have Gray in the MF and Slim replace Shinji the rest of the EPL season, give it a real push to see whether that can work, and if not, unload Slim I suppose. Only a handful of games left anyhow, need to figure out next season in a hurry.

The fact that when Benny came off we put Chilwell on instead of Amartey it shows that Shakespeare doesn't think he's a CB.

They clearly can't play 90 mins twice a week ffs. It's obvious they can only manage 60 mins, 3 days after playing 90. We've essentially thrown the Atletico game for one point in the league
