Fair result, but we had the game in our pocket at 2-0 and gave it away with a sloppy goal.

Swansea and Hull losing means it's a good day.

1 more win and we're safe.

Yep I agree Tuna

would of taken a point before kick off but feels a bit like 2 dropped after being 2-0 up

still onwards and upwards. :D

Was 1 point really worth playing Vardy, Ndidi, Fuchs, Simpson and Albrighton for 90 minutes? Benalouane pretty much too, potentially injured, same with Simpson.

Arsenal, Man C and Spurs coming up, so yes, it was IMO.

CL is fun but PL is everything.

Bit disappointed in the result after a 2-0 lead but I guess I would have taken a point if offered before the game.

Injuries are worrying and if there were any questions about Amartey being a CB or not, I guess that is answered. No!

I think we should have made some subs earlier, maybe when leading still. Riyad was quiet apart from Vardy's goal but he was tripled teamed again. Seems to be the way to subdue him. We need to take better advantage of that with the other players on the players pitch. Gotta manage these games a little better and rotate more.

SImpson excellent again, Huth MOM. Jamie showing Jeff his heels for the goal and Jeff showing us his slip and land on ass pass for his assist. Not as hilarious when it's against rather than for us

Blatant foul by benteke watched it on Optus and the commentaters didnt say anything, the weasel face ref had a clear view of Benny being smashed into the middle of next week.

Tuesday is very worrying now, Simpson, Albrighton look shattered and Drinky looks a shadow of his former self.

According to our new physio Jeff Stelling...............Wes will be back and fit for tuesday night as he has just announced it on soccer saturday

Whatever the rights and wrongs of Benteke's equaliser (I'd want to see  a similar desire from Ulloa or Slimani given that opportunity), it was a fair result and, given the defeats by Hull and Swansea, a good one.

A draw was all we deserved from a pretty poor display. It was pleasing to see us finish on top but those late free kicks from Albrighton and Fuchs were embarrassing. As was Albrighton s corner.

We're not quite safe yet but with no game next weekend we can throw everything at Atletico. We'll have to play a darn sight better than we did today to stand a chance but we generally do that at home. Tuesday will be a once in a lifetime occasion and a stage for heroes. I can't wait...

No point pushing for the win at 2-2 with the CL tie coming up and two tough away games after it..

as long as we are safe, it's all about the champions league for me!

Ironically we were far better second half but conceded twice. I thought Benteke's goal was a blatant foul but I had Arabic commentary, what did the English speaking commentators say?

NBC were adamant that Benteke showed desire and that Benalouane should be stronger.

Absolute joke, obvious foul.

Gotta disagree. I thought foul at first but Benny was weak and made no attempt to move or jump, just block off. If he had even looked like he was going for it, that would have been a foul.

He couldn't jump because Benteke was climbing all over him.

A bit disappointing to lose a two-goal lead but today's was a bonus point and great credit should go to Shaky for weighing the pros and cons of team selection so soundly and so effectively.

Once again, I'm concerned about Benalouane's ability to deal with top class attackers and about Mahrez's commitment to the cause but I expected defeat today so I'll not get greedy now and actually believe there was a lot of positives in today's performance.

First I was glad Ulloa completed 90 minutes and showed how valuable he could be with two or three defensive headers in the closing stages. Okay, he was inevitably ring-rusty, so to speak, but he clearly made an effort and seemed to be properly back in the fold and smiling again.

The much-maligned Kingy left the field with us 2-1 ahead, away from home, Drinky got a welcome rest, Vardy kept on scoring, Chilwell did his cause no harm, Gray got another decent run out and we possibly got the point which will see us safe in The Premiership for another season.

Well done Huth for his goal and a performance that pipped Simpson for Man of the Match and well done everyone for showing the resilience to resist Palace's ever-threatening attack and contain the momentum of their best run of results all season.

People need to understand that we're bound to creak and groan as our limited resources are stretched by such a heavy programme of matches, But for me this was one more result towards the saving of our season and turning it into something half decent.

Yes, you could argue we were robbed by the Benteke decision but Benny still got bullied. just as he got bullied by Lukaku.

The first question now is who joins Morgan in the heart of our defence on Tuesday. Benny was MOM in the first leg but can he be trusted to do the same again? It's not a choice I'd want to make.

Dissapointed. And now stuck in sodding Croydon.

That's the life of a City fan.... Bruges, Copenhagen, Porto, Seville, Madrid.... Croydon.

I just watched goal again. The swerve on the cross wrong footed Benny and he was back peddling and kind of falling already, Benteke was able to get a running jump on it. Put it this way, if it was Leo or Slim, I'd have no complaints or even a speck of "we got away with that one"

I'm not complaining, you win some you lose some but it looked like a foul to me.

There's no point to football if you turn your nose up at opportunities like this. The "long term health" of the club often gets seen as an end whereas as I think of it more as a means to an end. Our place in the PL has allowed us to compete in this great competition, it seems a total waste to me not to try and take full advantage now it's here.

Completely forgot what day it was, thought we were still on Friday! :D  As such I missed the game but anything other than a loss was always going to be acceptable in this match so pleased to see we got the 1 even if it sounds like we should have nailed down all 3.

Mixed feelings: I wanted to rest more but I didn't want to be on a three game losing streak - I'm hoping our less than energetic football has given us a little rest and the injuries come to nothing.

How that Benteke goal was allowed is ridiculous, went through Benny before getting to the ball. Surely we've banked enough awful refereeing decisions for us to have a few in our favour now, preferably 3 dodgy penalties against Atletico.

I know Leo showed some rustiness but he wasn't helped by some over-zealous whistle blowing whenever he touched one of their defenders. Considering he's barely kicked a ball for us in months, I thought some of his touches and link up play was steady. Albrighton and Riyad didn't have the best of games and Wilf was a bit lazy for their first, but in general it's a good point.

A couple of months ago we'd have been out of sight having not threatened their goal in that, let alone bemoaning the fact we didn't win after bagging two goals despite not playing well in a game sandwiched between two huge ties.
