The proof is NOT in the pudding. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. If you must spout crap, at least do so accurately.

Wait what? 'The proof is in the pudding' is the shortened phrase for 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating'

Avoiding it like seaside towns during a fever year.

It's my own fault for daring to even look - the pointless drivel being bantered back and forth defies belief.

Wait what? Vardy was nothing without Mahrez. Mahrez was nothing without Kante.

This year, vardy has been an abysmal forward as the case with mahrez. The proof is in the pudding. Kante had an even better season with Chelsea whilst Vardy and Mahrez couldn't even perform half as well as in the title winning season.

Still I think: Kante > Mahrez > Vardy in terms of importance if we had to compare them individually. But obviously all of them were equally vital to winning the prem.

However that isn't entirely true, is it. Vardy did manage 15 goals last year. The vast majority of his goals and improved performances came after Ranieri's sacking. Riyad on the other hand never hit his level at all last year. For his career, he had what was quite clearly, a wasted year.

The interest (or lack of) is a consequence of that season. Riyad is, in my opinion much better than what he showed last year and as I have said before, like anything else in life, you get what you put in. Riyad, for whatever reason dropped his performances considerably to what was expected to him. That doesn't make him better than Leicester City. It does however raise the question as to whether he is as ineffective because he is more so dependant on Kante.

I dont care about the 50 other players.

We are talking about Mahrez.

Last season - he was a liability.

Then we are done debating because you are clearly retarded.

Correct for half of the season, which was equally frustrating, he turned his season round though, he turned good.

However Mahrez would rather sit down with Sky to do an interview shown pre-match v Man City and say;

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11712/10874529/leicesters-riyad-mahrez-to-consider-future-in-summer

  • "When the team is good, is winning games, you can see me, I can score, I can assist, I can make a difference, end product, everything you know, when the team is not going good, I am part of it, so i'm not doing good aswell."

(But when the team did turn it round, start playing well, winning games, nothing changed with Riyad, he was still as poor as he'd been all season, so how he dares blames it on the other players I don't know, excuses, trying to hide is all I can put it down to and the 'star' player in a team has nowhere to hide!)

  • "At first I wanted to stay, when you do a season like I did, you start thinking, you have to take this train, maybe it won't come anymore, there are big clubs, you don't know what is gonna happen next seaosn, are they gonna come back for you in 2 season, 3 season, you don't know."

(Well I do know Riyad, play like you did last season and yes you've missed the train, the big clubs won't come back for you - Certainly not for the fee we want)

  • "Obviously I want to play Champions League every season, I want to be at a big club, I want to win trophies every season"

(And Arsenal is his favoured choice apparently )

That's not the point though, I was obviously referring to the Mahrez, Vardyb and Kante of 15/16. Obviously Vardy has been better this year, but still wasn't great.

Yeah Matt he doesn't want to talk about when Mahrez has been shit. Let's just talk about 15/16 and pretend that's his constant levels of performance. Whereas Kante has won a league title since and Vardy still finished last season with decent figures

We will see I guess but I think Riyad may have missed the boat, train and even the automobile.

His performance last last season was nothing special. Shot himself in both feet really.

Personally i I hope no one comes in for him and he stays, puts in the effort required next season and helps us achieve something good.

Then, perhaps, the big boys will take note again.

If he does this he'll have a great chance of a dream move next summer

Still no solid interest then?

His agent got this all wrong - I think the statement they put out they thought they was going to spark a bidding war with all the big clubs and Riyad would have his pick. Even Arsenal who desperately need to improve their squad are only a maybe.

He should have performed better last season instead of half arsing and worrying about an injury because now everyone thinks he's a one season wonder.
