What about Vardy?

Who ??  What ??  ...    We're talking about the star of the show here not one of the backing singers!!

Go over to the 'Supporting cast' thread if you want to talk about him ...   :)

What about him? He helped win the league too! Didn't mean that he (mahrez) won the league by his one, but some of those goals (just like vardy's vs Liverpool and Southampton won the league) had a big impact.

When Mahrez receives the ball, the heart of KP beats a bit faster ... When Mahrez starts his move forward, the KP face lights up ... Nothing like it has ever been seen this side of the Midlands for as long as memories can go back in time ...

Unfortunately not, Countryfox. I wish I could go down there but I'm consistently too busy over here    But, believe me, I could feel it very strongly through that TV screen. I really did constantly.

how long do your Leicester memories go back? a year? 2 years?

If Mahrez put the graft in, I don't think anyone would be knocking him, regardless of form or productivity.

Maybe it's through being a Leicester fan and watching utter dross turn up for years, but giving maximum effort for the cause is the first thing I want to see from a City player. In eras of low quality, if a player was putting a shift in then they were probably fine by me, regardless of ability.

Maybe that has transcended through to now, and is the reason Mahrez winds me up at times.

100% this. Players like Dickov and Hume epitomised this. Not even in the same discussion as Mahrez in the way of quality but you just know when that final whistle went they'd given everything for the cause.

When Mahrez puts a shift in he's unbelievable to watch but the player we saw last season was more of a hindrance. I don't think his body language helps him sometimes.

I really hope he goes on to be the best player he can be. Maybe get a better advisors around him too

Seniority and historical legitimacy? that's a debate for another day. The statement was meant to be in honor of something extraordinary and the loyal souls who got moved by it once upon a time ...

Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away their lived a little creature in a hole in the ground, called a Mahrez. He was small in stature, shy and reticent in showing his many talents, but someone had given him a gigantic potion of self importance and this had bloated his head so much that he could no longer get out of his Mahrez hole.

To be fair, I probably would say Willian is a better player than Mahrez- he's been excellent on a consistent basis for years. On his day, Mahrez is amazing. But when was the last time he had a day?

Man City home last season lol

And I fully respect that. Not saying that you have anything against riyad. I just don't think a player can go from a poty to this!

I'm not blinded by bias. Riyad had a bad season and i'm not afraid to admit it, just think that he can do better if he had the right players around him.

He had the same players around him last season as the season before when we won the league (except kante)

True - but how many of those exact same players performed consistently as they had in the previous season?
