If we made signings like this then there's a chance Riyad will have a change of heart for another year. You never know.

I think to buy at 35 mil we'd be expecting to sell Riyad to cover the cost. Were not Man City.

We paid £29 million for Slimani?

You can't be serious. We've made 200 million in the last 18 months and another 115 million this week from our 9th place finish. Then you have the Owners wealth going up by another 1.5 Billion.

If we as a Club and the Owners are serious about breaking into the top 6 then we're going to have to start signing proven quality. And we need to start doing it now.  Otherwise we start to go backwards and quickly.

He's demanding £120m a week...

Everton won't pay that!

Pay him and don't tell Vardy and Kasper!

Always remember the game where we played Reading just after we'd signed Matt Mills.

Gylfi Sigurdsson played his last game for them and he ripped us to bits and scored a peach. Wanted him to sign for us since then.

Edit; just had a look to see if i'd got that right. It was actually before we signed Mills. He scored the winner.

We'll probably get £40m for Mahrez and have received over £100m for our PL finish as well as £66m for our CL exploits, so we have one hell of an opportunity to make a real statement of intent and turn ourselves into a genuine Premier League force. Sigurdsson would be a great part of that, and some good young centre backs would make me feel very optimistic about next season.

Buying the right players has to do with what they want as well as what we want.

Thing is that we're now the 16th wealthiest club in Europe. That's Europe, not England.

There is no reason at all why we can't turn ourselves into a club regularly in the top 8 and competing for honours. Southampton are already there and have achieved nothing compared to our achievements over the past two years, so I see little reason why we can't aspire to be one of England's biggest clubs. That title win needs to become more than a one off or footnote in history, there's no point doing what Forest or Blackburn have done and having nothing but memories as we're losing 2-0 at home to Burton in the Championship in 10 years' time.

That's a given, But here's the thing, there's more players than Clubs The real power still rest with the Clubs at least for 99% of players.

If you don't get one top target you just move onto the next. The Big Clubs have had to do it for Years.

Riyad isn't going to Everton.

He wants to leave here for Champions League football.

He won't be going Arsenal either then?

Touché, if we don't make a serious move for proven quality this summer we will stagnate.
