Wouldn't be against giving Darnel Johnson some game time in pre season, see if he can be  a backup rb, would be handy to bring through some youth players into our first team. If we were to buy a Rb though what happened to that guy from Luton that we were interested in?

Think it is pretty vital we get Sigurdsson or a player or similar quality in, Okazaki needs to start being fazed out, love his workrate but we need more if we are to push on, not to say get rid of him completely but back up would be a better role for him. A player to score free kicks is also something we have been lacking so that would be a plus with Sigurdsson.

Koeman wants to play 4-3-3 & if they signed Gylfi he'd play in the 8 role. They have; Gueye, Davies, Barkely, Klaassn already who can play there? I doubt they would spend another £40m on Sigurdsson.

I've also heard they're planning a 4-3-3.

 

With Sigurdsson wide left (with a free role if he chooses to drift inside) and a midfield of Gueye, Klaasen and Schneiderlin.

Lookman and Calvert Lewis are kids. They'll play bit part roles at best.

 

Bolasie is crocked.

 

Niang will probably rotate with Miralles on the other wing.

 

Sandro Ramirez will play up front but even then I think they'll look for a better striker if/when they flog Lukaku.

We will see, I just can't see them paying £40m on him when he's not needed. But you never know.

If Everton are getting Klaassen, then surely that improves our chances of getting Sigurdsson. As said above, I don't see them spending however much on Sigurdsson if they've got Klaassen.

Klaasen HAS signed for Everton. Might improve our chances with Siggy. £23.5m for Klaasen is excellent business for Everton too.

The Mercury posted this morning that it would be announced sometime today. The club always announce deals around 5 pm.

I've been following that account's every tweet closely for 3 transfer windows now.

I believed they were ITK for many, many months, but in Jan it became very clear they weren't.

Can't remember the exact situation but think it was the Ramirez non-transfer.

Also that account tweeted personal abuse at Liam Moore for leaving.

I still follow them though because they are very quick to pick up on and collate actual reliable rumours.
