Edingleyfox Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 To be honest we need the Sigurdsson issue sorting one way or another asap along with Mahrez for that matter - so we can conclude other business.Long shot now that he will be coming to Leicester but doubt it will reach £50m mark wherever he goes.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 Worth around £30 million, if Swansea are rejecting £40 million then we certainly shouldn't try a bid. Be interesting to see if Everton go in with another bid

s11nny Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 Swansea confirmed he's not traveling with squad for pre season tour to USA. Lot of reports that he's trying to push through move to Everton
Great Boos Up Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 So maybe we did bid 40m. if Everton have been dismissed for the same amount. It's not a Dutch auction for Icelander, 50m is what he's worth to Swansea.

Just hope our recruitment team are on it! im with you there, we could probably get ryad boudebouz for under £20mil if Everton want to spend over £40mil on GS then let them, theyve had their butts well and truly spanked if they do
Tuna Posted 13 July 2017 Author Posted 13 July 2017 Have to say that at 40 million plus, he just ain't worth it. At 28, you've no re-sale value in 3/4 years time. We can get 2 decent players in for that money with more longevity. Would be delicious if they didn't gel and Everton flop badly.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 If Everton get Siggy and then bin McCarthy off on us I'll be so pissed off

STUHILL Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 Swansea playing hardball. I'm sure they will settle on a deal with add-ons but that is crazy money and will only inflate prices on other players. The world has gone mad! We are better off out of this one. Lets look abroad, which has its risks, but we won't be held to such a ransom!

Babylon Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 Does make me laugh how bids by certain teams for certain players are met with distain and others aren't. Twitter was full of the usual lets laugh at Leicester stuff when it was reported we'd bid £40m for Sigurdsson. But rumours of United going for Dier at £50m / £60m, who frankly I think is a massively limited footballer. Or Man City for Walker at £40m - £60m for a bloody right back, nobody bats an eyelid.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 With the TV money, every club in the PL doesn't need money from sale of players so they can play hardball and overvalue their players to drop interest. Sigurdsson is so important to Swansea they aren't going to sell for market value, frustrating but it is the way it is now.

Swarles Barkley Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 I for one am looking forward to seeing everton play with the 2-7-1 formation
