Seems like he wants to join Everton not us, 97 pages without even a hint he ever wanted to come here! Want to lock the thread, just post pictures of a Rachel Riley, that'll get the mods swinging into action :whistle:

That may be but as long as he'd rather be here than at Swansea we still have a chance.

Everton still need to buy a striker to replace Lukaku and a CB... With Klassan & Barkley I can't see why they would want to spend £50m on someone they don't really need.

Because they are like children that have just won the lottery,at least the arrogance of their fans on twitter are.All this money spent and they'll do well to make any progress on last seasons 7th.

Am i wrong but 40 million plus for GS and 27 million for Mahrez WTF or am i missing something!!!!??

One of them turned up last season, the other didn't. On his day there's no doubt Mahrez is the better player... but his poor season has seriously devalued him.

Still did more than Balosie and Sissoko who cost £30m

Why should we close the thread. He also hasnt said he wants to join everton. In fact he hasn't said anything at all. While we are still making bids for this player, We should keep it open. He may well end up at Everton but we are still in the hunt at the moment

Everton eye 'bargain' £42m Gylfi Sigurdsson transfer as Swansea try to engineer 3 way bidding war

Welsh side accept star is probably off, but hope to get £50m with Leicester also keen and Spurs watching developments

Everton are moving in on Gylfi Sigurdsson , despite Swansea’s attempts to ramp up the fee by sparking an auction between three interested clubs.

The Swans have rejected a record £40million offer from Goodison Park, which matched a failed Leicester bid for the midfielder.

Sigurdsson’s previous club, Tottenham , are also monitoring developments, and Swansea hope the rival interest will drive the deal up to their £50m asking price.

Yes. You're missing £50m for Kyle Walker. So what price RM now?  I have no idea.

I'm not a big one for stats when it comes to Citeh but in this window all good PL players are priced more than our highest ever purchase. I'm just trying to think safer than the unknown. A seasoned dead ball specialist who gets up and down the pitch and can pass now at 27 in his prime. I think Walsh has always been interested and now at Everton he may have more muscle. After the initial shock of the price tag and rating him better than good I still think we should persue him. Or another view is if he leaves Swansea then that's 3 relegated already. Just a thought after the number shock wore off.

Especially since Boudebouz is apparently available for around £12m.

He may not score as many Goals as Gylfi but I'd have him all day long for that price. He's very good and only a young lad. He could be here for years to come or we sell on for a big profit.

Having been knocked back 40 mill for gylfi,

its gospel that all clubs knock back the first offer, there's more smoke in this than you would think,I'm not itk in anyway but that won't be our final offer, but it will simply be down to the player as to where he sees his future, but if we get him over big spending Everton it will be the 'coup' of the summer imo,and he will have to have seen some massive ambition that even we as fans will not know about from the club

Leicesters type of play needs tall centre backs so Gibson I'm not sure on I'd rather get smalling or Evans if we are in for them anymore

Same height as Wes Morgan, isn't he?

Sigurdsson, N'Didi and Drinkwater would be rather solid, to be honest.

Different qualities but ones, combined, that can potentially prove to be 'luxury' if he comes and there's a strong connection.

Swansea are being very firm with the current fee rejections for him, but they know, like Paul Clement had mentioned himself - there's a ''business side" that needs to be considered by a club like Swansea as well in terms of possible transfer outgoings.

So, just make an offer of something like £40,987,654.32 and they'll start to believe it's around the right amount for Sigurdsson and be a very strong amount of cash in the Welsh club's transfer account.

just pay the 50m and get him here.

i don't care what he's worth he'd be dope as **** in this team m8s.

imagine, JUST ****ING IMAGINE having someone that can actually take free-kicks and corners properly.

remember that feeling every time one our players fails to beat the first man - the "oh we should just give the ball back we're never gonna do anything with it" - remember that feeling - yeah, you know it well!

that could be a distant memory.

not my money, give a fvck. lol

In normal circumstances, that's a spot on view of how the premiership works these days... but going on last seasons performances it looks like we will be adopting a more opposite approach to dealings
