Potentially, if you look at how long the likes of Shawcross and Huth have been Premier League CB's, we could be getting a good long term player here. 16m-17m for Maguire is an excellent deal in today's valuations. To get good quality PL defenders, clubs generally now have to pay £20m+, so with Maguire we've seemingly done very well.

Just one thing - he played 29 games for Hull last year and 24 (out of 46) in the championship the year previously. Has he got a history of Injury?

Will be interesting to see who he comes in for. I'm not having that same tripe which was said in the lead up to 15-16 with Westley being 'done' and its all back now after he hobbled us over the line this season, Drinky might aswell be done too by that logic. Then you've got Huth who's got more quality but has never been given the armband at times where you think he would, the pecking order seems to be Morgan>Schmiechel>Vardy. Suppose the manager who really has to get the balance right with playing styles and whoever is doing the most to get into the staring eleven.
